Maison Martin Margiela!

At least 8 months ago Martin Margiela became my most loved designer! I always loved his designs, but when I started to learn more about the Maisons philosophy I got really hooked. The exhibition in the MoMu in Antwerp made my love even bigger and at that point I started to dream about owning all the things he had designed (I know I'm a dreamer, but a real ambitious one). The boots that I bought last week had been on my wishlist for 4 months, but the pricetag was just too high for my studentbudget. I had all my hopes set on the sales period.
Last week the store finally had the 60% sign on the windows. I went into the store a little bit scared, because my shoesize is a 38 and that's hard to find during sales (at least with very pretty shoes). When the salesperson brought me the shoes, I could just start jumping up and down, that's how happy I was. They're perfect, they're so easy to walk and just feel wonderfull! The leather is so extremely soft and I love how it's draped!
I read that these are the official boots for this season, but I'm not sure about that. Not that this matters, because I LOVE THEM!
The first picture is my shoebox. It didn't turn out that great, because it's written in really light grey, but you get the idea. The other pictures are from the Joan Shepp site, because these pictures are just way better then the ones I made.
I'm sure these boots will be in a lot of outfitshots!

Exams Are Almost Over!

Last week I had 2 exams and they went really really good, so things couldn't be any better at the moment. I have one exam to do, next friday, but I don't need to study for that one. I have to do my presentation from The Louvre again, but that's just a formality.
Tomorrow I'm going to Antwerp, I'm going to the Maison Martin Margiela exhibition for the second time (it's really that good). Of course I hope to find some wonderfull pieces in this last sales week. Not that I have much money, because I bought the most wonderfull Maison Martin Margiela boots on sale (still a little bit expensive for my studentbudget, but they're worth it). I'll post about them tomorrow!
Last week I took another trip to the bodyshop, it's a really nice way to relax during the examination period. I bougth some really great things: White Musk Hand Cream, Cassis Rose Body Lotion, Cassis Rose Perfume and a Nail Polishing Block. Everything was on sale, except the Nail Block. Sorry for the bad quality picture, couldn't help it.

Thrifting Treasures!

During the christmas holiday I visited a lot of thriftstores and a fleamarket aswell. I was really happy to have some time for those treasure hunts again. Of course I found some great pieces, real treasures!
The first treasure is the most beautifull beautycase I've ever seen. I found it at a local fleamarket. It's in perfect condition and it was a real bargain. It's really big aswell, which is nice because I have lots of stuff I can use it for.
Mirror, mirror on the wall ... Don't you guys just love this mirror? I'm totally in love with it, as you guys know by now I'm a huge fan of anything baroque and frilly. This one was another bargain, only 6 euros at a thriftstore. I did had to walk around all day with this mirror in my hands while shopping, but I had done that before with a table.
Ok, this plate isn't a huge treasure, but I just love the flowers. It's big enough to get proper use out of it and it only costed 2 cents. I mean, why not give it away for free?!
Gosh, I can't wait untill exams are over and I can go on a hunt again. Today I had exam number 2 and it wasn't that good. I was still very tired from my last exam. The good news is that I have a chance at improving my grades next semester. I never was a big literature fan...
My next exam is friday, again so little time for so much things to learn...

Maastricht

A few days after Christmas we went on a family shopping trip to Maastricht, we that is my mom and dad, my sister and my boyfriend and me. Sales already started there and mom and dad bought us lots of stuff that day.
This cute golden sequined bolero is from SPS. I had never heard of this store before, eventhough I go on several shoppingtrips in the Netherlands every year. I was looking for the perfect sequined bolero for a while and now I fell in love the instant I saw this one hanging in the window.
This perfume is from l'Occitane en Provence, a brand that I really love. The sentence is Rose & Reine and I can tell you guys that this is one of the best perfumes ever! The bottle is very cute aswell. You guys should really try this one out if you have the chance.
With this very cold weather I could use a new hat. I already have lots of hats, but one more wouldn't hurt. The color is really nice and it's really warm. It's from H&M.
My mom and dad also bought me a really cute dark blue dress from H&M, but the pictures didn't turn out good. You couldn't see the nice details, so I guess it will be shown in a future outfitshot.
There is no trip to the Netherlands for me without buying at least one pair of shoes. They have so many great shoestores there. One of my favourite stores is Invito, where I bought these gorgeous golden shoes. They where only 20 euros, so I really couldn't leave them behind.
On another note: exams started today! There might be lots of mistakes in this post, because I got up really early to revise everything. And this was the most stressfull examination day of my life. The people from school gave me the number of the wrong auditorium and I barely made it on time for my exam. STRESS!!!
I'll be very busy the next 2 weeks, but I'll post regulary. Other times I always say that I'm not posting at all, but blogging is a great way to take a little studybreak. And I have lots of stuff that I still need to post.

Photo Tag

The lovely Léonie from Madame Mode tagged me. I had to pic the 4th folder on my computer and I had to post the 4th picture in that folder. I think this is a nice tag and I'm showing you guys this photo. It's a picture taken in Paris somewhere in the 1920's, that I found on the Sugarpluminvitations blog. I'm a huge fan of photograhy and I really like old Paris pictures. I'm sorry this isn't a personal picture, but my computer crashed a while ago and I'm still restoring the damage. The only maps I have on my computer right now is the one with blog pictures and one with nice vintage photographs I find surfing the web.
I have to tag 4 other people and I choose: Sue, The Seeker, Sam and Becky Lou.
I own lots of books with old pictures. One of my favourites is 'Paris Mon Amour' from Taschen. I can spend hours watching those photos and I dream away every single time. In that book I found the perfect picture for my header, which was still white. The picture is called 'Le Baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville' and it's taken in 1950 by Robert Doisneau. I'm totally in love with this photograph!
What do you guys think?

A Blurry Little Bit Of Snow

Today it snowed a little and I just love snow (at least when I can stay inside). So I decided to go outside for an outfit shot. It was already dark so the picture is a bit blurry, but I liked how it turned out.
