Holidays started!

Yesterday I had my last exam and I'm really happy because now I can finally do lots of fun stuff.
Today I went and got a new haircut, my bangs are really short now! Finally something new and I think it looks good.
Tomorrow I've planned a shopping day with my sister in Antwerp. I'm so looking forward, it's been to long since I went shopping!
Today me and my boyfriend went out to dinner and I finally got a chance to take another outfit shot.
Turtleneck: H&M
Skirt: Secondhand

Agent Provocateur

I have no explanation for it, but for as long as I can remember I want all the perfume bottles by Agent Provocateur. It's funny because I never even smelled the perfume, but I think they're just so beautiful. I want them standing in my bedroom and just look good.
In september I'm going on a little citytrip to London with my boyfriend and I'm sure I'll check out their shop.
You can find all the products they sell online @ Agent Provocateur and it's also possible to shop online. I prefer shopping in real life, so I can smell the perfumes and check out the store (I have a feeling the store looks great).
It's not going to be easy when I need to pick one bottle out of these pretty ones, but maybe I've made up my mind in september.

Dries Van Noten

I bought the new ELLE Belgium yesterday and it came with a catwalk collector. I love it when I get something like this with my magazines. It's such a great review of all the fashionshows.
The spring/summer 2008 collection by Dries Van Noten was the first that caught my eye. I love the silk fabrics, the ethnic and floral prints, the wrapskirts, ...
I absolutely adore this collection. My favourite piece is the loose floral pants, they're just perfect for summer. I so need to get my hands on them.
You can check out the site for more pictures of this great collection.

The body shop

Yesterday I went on a little shoppingtrip and I ended up at 'the body shop'. It had already come to my attention that they have a new limited edition out now: Japanese Cherry Blossom. I was eager to check it out.
I bought myself the Japanese Cherry Blossom bath and shower gel and the Japanese Cherry Blossom body puree (a lightweight bodymoisturiser). I'm telling you guys these products are amazing. The fragrance is so great, it reminds me of spring and the packaging is just to cute. There was no way that I could resist these. It's just too sad that it's a limited edition, because I'm already addicted to it!
I also bought myself a vitamin E sink-in moisture mask. I have really dry skin and I can't wait to test this mask and see if it really helps.

Body Shop is a little more expensive than were I normally shop, but I'm sure their products are worth the price you pay. A girl can spoil herself from time to time, right?!!
Their website shows all of the products with the information you need. If you don't live near to a Body Shop, no problem, you can shop online aswell.

Hotel Costes

I guess lots of people already know Hotel Costes. The great lounge compilation mixed by Stephane Pompougnac. With artists like Gotan Project, ...
You can visit their site for lots of other information.

They've 10 CD's out now and they've brought them together in a great box that I so want to have. I'm buying this as soon as I can, I can imagine it standing in my appartment and just look good.

Streetstyle

What I love about streetstyle blogs is the fact that they're such an inspiration (I guess to all of us). I'm addicted to blogs like that and keep sbrowsing them for amazing outfits.
When visiting one of my favourites, Facehunter, I found this gorgeous picture. I just adore everything and that skirt is so beautiful.

What a beauty!

Today I stumbled on this gorgeous Baroque walltable and I just can't stop thinking about it.
I think I'm in love with this table, I desperately need it...
I found it when I was looking trough the trendhopper site. It costs 119 euros and it's available in different colors.
I know wat I'm going to do when my exams (today 4/6) are over. Yep, you're right, I'm spending a day at trendhopper!

The most beautiful skirt ever!

When I was walking to my boyfriends apartment yesterday I passed by some stores. I checked out a store I never go to, because the clothes there are too expensive for my studentbudget. But since sales are still in town I decided to go and check it out.
The store is called Essentiel and they have the most beautiful clothes, I knew that already, but I just never bought anything there.
I found the most beautiful skirt ever, I'm not really being modest here, but I just am in love with it. The price I paid only makes it better. The normal price was 190 euros, wich I do understand because of the pearls and details on the skirt and the really nice fabric. Yesterday I only paid 50 euros for it, so I got 140 euros discount. That's just awesome!

Here's a picture from the Essentiel winter-campaign. The girl is wearing my new fabulous skirt.

You can check out their site aswell for more beautiful pictures and store information: here.
I decided to stop by their shop more from now on and if I see something as nice as this skirt, oh well I just need to save a little longer, because I know it will be worth it.

Fashion History

I love Taschen. Their books are so beautiful and nice to look in. I could really spend an entire day looking trough my books and enjoy the great pictures.

Last week I bought this great book about fashion history form the 18th to the 20th century. It has 720 pages full with the most beautiful dresses and accessories, this book is just a dream. The book is based on the collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute. Gosh, I sure hope I can go and see their collection in real life someday.
For more information or other great books: Taschen.

2/6

Today I had such an easy exam: Costume and fashion history. First I was afraid that I was gonna do it very bad, that would be such a shame since I have a fashionblog. But it was really easy.

I finally managed to take a picture of me wearing my black trench I got a few weeks ago at Zara. Don't mind my really tired face in the picture, I got up at 5 AM to revice everything again.
Trench: Zara
T-shirt: Mango (Paris)
Skirt: H&M (old)
Gloves: H&M
Bag: H&M
Thights: H&M
Shoes: Zara

I need Prada!

These shoes are gorgeous!!! I really like them, they are so cute. I especially like the slingbacks, wish I could get my hands on them.
a. Rose Sandals, $ 505
b. Rose Satin d'Orsay, $ 560
c. Rose Slingbacks, $ 575
Why, oh why do I have such an expensive taste. Even here I pick the shoes that are about $ 575.
Maybe I can find some sort of clip-on flower that looks like these and buy some black slingbacks?
But for now I keep on dreaming about the real stuff.

1/6 and counting

Yesterday I had my first exam, so that explains the title: 1 out of 6 and I'm hoping it to be over soon.
I was so happy this exam was over, because it's my main course: renaissance art and architecture. So it was a lot of studying I had to do.
To reward myself I went shopping afterwards, because I saw a sweater I really wanted. I only stopped at H&M, because I really didn't want to shop the entire day.

This is the hoodie I went shopping for. I don't wear hoodies that much, but I just loved the floral design and it's just so warm and comfy. I was lucky, because I had the last one.

These cute shirts I couldn't resist. I really like the sleeves and so I bought it in 2 colors.

Lately H&M has some really cute shirts, some of them vintage-inspired. I found this cute white shirt with these heart details. It reminded me of some cute shirts I found at a secondhand shop.

Cute skirt

I found this picture at Face Hunter and I just love this outfit. It's simple but so nice and I really like the buttons on the skirt. I read that the girl made the skirt herself and it made me think about making my own like that. So that's what I'm gonna do.
And her hair is great!

I wont be posting much for the next 2 or 3 weeks, because my exams start tomorrow and blogging would just distract me even more. I will still be posting my outfits when I have an exam, but the rest of the time I'm sitting in my pyjamas or something else comfortable.
So wish me good luck!!!

Prada

I really like the shinny Prada turbans and I really want one. Well in my case a cheaper version, but I can't seem to find one. I really don't know if it will look good on me, but it's worth a try.

But before I show those great Prada pictures, I want to show you guys what this trend made me think of.
This gorgeous painting by Jan Van Eyck - Man with Turban. I just love all of his work, it gives me goose bumps when I look at it. His work has got so much feeling and details, that it's just mindblowing when you compare it with a picture. It's almost the same!

And now the modern versions! The shinny material is great and those colors. I just want one in every single color.

Ikea

I just love love love Ikea. It's just so great to go to on a day when you just don't know what to do.
Since I have my own little appartment I allready bought lots of stuff there, my boyfriend aswell. But I've allready been looking out for beautiful stuff that I can buy when we move next year.

First of all I'm gonna show my favourite stuff we allready bought. I'm just going to show the pictures, because they are clear enough.

The second part is about the stuff I really really want for next year.
This sofa is just gorgeous, I tried it in store and it's just so comfortable. The metal on the sides reminded me of these chairs by Le Corbusier.

This table is amazing, it just looks so retro. Pretty please, I want this one. But I'm guessing it will be too expensive for us next year. It's over 300 euros!

I want this purple boxes to store my shoes, because almost all of my shoes came without shoeboxes and now they're just lying around in my room.

Tagged again

Okay I got tagged again. This time it was by Big Glasses Girl and I have to post 6 things that I carry in my purse right now.
The purse I'm using for the moment is the brown one by H&M I posted yesterday.

1. I never leave the house without my wallet. These are my 2 favourite wallets and I change between them almost daily. Red one I got at Zara and the brown one is by H&M.

2. My agenda, always easy when you have it with you. I had one I got at my school, but it was really ugly. This one was being sold with a Belgian fashion magazine. I bought it because I really like the Baroc-drawing.

3. My blogbook. I keep it to write down my ideas for this blog when I'm not at home or don't have time to post anything. I also use it to write down the adresses of my favourite shops in every city I've been. The big one I use when I have a big bag and the smaller one can come in handy when the bag is too small.

4. Lipbalms and handcream. I really have dry skin so I can't live without handcream, this one by Dove is really great. The lipbalms are cool aswell, because they color your lips and care aswell.
5. I got this pocket at H&M a few years ago. I use it to keep my keys, some pills for when I get sick when I'm not at home, some small perfume bottles, my lipbalms, ...

6. My Cellphone. I do tend to forget it at home from time to time, but I can't live without it. Just so easy when you need to contact someone. I'm not gonna post a new picture, you can see it here.

Now it's my turn to link 6 people:

Anti-stress

Well I really have to study this week, because my exams are comming. So yesterday I did some shopping to calm myself down and give myself some gifts for the good studying I will do. I only bought this at H&M.
I tried on really great shoes at Zara, but they were to painfull.

I bought another bag, yes that's correct another one. Aarrgh I'm going crazy I think, but I just couldn't resist the color. It's very big aswell, so I can use it to take it to school.

I allready have this cute blouse in brown, but it looked really great in white aswell. So I just bought it, because it was 70%, so it only costed 4 euros. Like I said before I love sales!

I didn't find another way to show you guys my new accessories so I just took a picture like this. But I still think it looks kinda weird.
The ring was only 1 euro, yep sales again.
I really like brown-reddish color of the necklace.

Every once in a while I also go to Hema to check if they have some new cute home accessories and I found this really cute round box there. I use it to keep my scarfs in it, because they always fall down when I hang them in my closet.

And now back to my studying books!

Award!

Today I received a thinking blogger award from Wendy Brandes Jewelry. Thank you WendyB!

So now is my turn to pick 5 bloggers. This isn't an easy job, it's hard when you just get to pick 5 out of a whole list of bloggers you like.
These are the 5 blogs who I'm giving the award:

- Antwerp is the New Paris: These 2 girls from Antwerp are amazing and in a few weeks they'll be featured in a Belgian magazine called Flair.
- Hillbilly Doll: as you guys now allready she's my sister. She gets the award because I really like the pictures she makes, they are great! She can think of this award as an early birthday gift, because the real gift is gonna be way to late! So Eline, allready a very happy birthday for tomorrow!
- Live.Speak.Breathe.Fashion. : Great blog! This girl is starting up her own online magazine for the moment, I'm curious about that.
- Painfully Hip: One of the best blogs ever, such an inspiration I get from this blog.
- The Stiletto Effect: That name alone. One of the blogs that made me make my own blog and that has been supporting since the beginning of this blog.

So nominees if you want to know what you have to do now, check here.

Gifts!

It's time to talk about my lovely Christmas gifts!

I got this cuckoo wallclock from my boyfriend. I wanted something like that for some time now and he bought it for me. Actually when I think about it, he gave me lots of great gifts: this clock, the shoes, the purse and the complete series of SATC. He's the best boyfriend ever!

My sister gave me this thermos, she got it at a really cute store in Antwerp. I wanted this for some time now, so this gift is awesome. I just love the color and the flowerprint.
If I don't use it, it still looks great when I place it in my kitchen.
My mom and dad gave me the flowerbomb perfume I talked about in an earlier post. So nice of them, because it's a real expensive perfume.
My boyfriends mom and dad gave me a giftcard for a great bookstore. I can't wait to go and buy a great book there.
My grandparents and other familymembers gave me money and I can use that aswell since I just bought this computer last month.

I will have more posts about interiorstuff this week, because my boyfriend and I are planning on moving in together when the new schoolyear starts in September. I know it's only January, but we need to start looking soon enough for a great place.
We allready have some great stuff for our appartment that I'll show you guys in another post. And I allready found some great stuff on the internet that I must have for the appartment. I'm showing you guys that aswell.

Luella Bartley

I was looking at some pictures of the fashionshow winter 07/08 by Luella Bartley and found these 2 beautiful pictures.
I was browsing the summer collection aswell, but summer collections are mostly not my kind of style. They are to bright and as you guys now by now I like to dress in darker shades.

That shoe is gorgeous! I need to get my hands on something like that.
I really like the shade of purple that's used for the dress in the second picture. The cut of the dress is great aswell.

Style award

When going trough my daily blog-reading I found out that Painfully Hip posted their Thrift Stars of the year. And they also talked about Piksi, a girl from Finland with an amazing style!
I made a post about her before: here
Today I'm showing you guys some great pictures of her. You'll be amased by her style and she has so many great thrift finds.
The way she dresses is super and the setting of the pictures is amazing aswell.
You should all visit her site, for more pictures! I just picked a few pictures, because she has so many great pictures it's hard too choose!

This outfit is my absolute favourite!
I tried that skirt aswell, but it didn't look nice on me at all.
