Tomorrowland

This weekend at Tomorrowland was so much fun, but very exhausting (festivals always are).

The boyfriend played a great set, we saw some amazing dj's, danced & laughed a lot, ... And even the weather was a little bit on our side, too bad it was so cold.

Because of the weather the keywords for this outfit were layers, warm and comfortable.

My Weekend

Just a quick post to let you guys know that I didn't abandoned this blog, I've just been too busy to blog.

This thursday the boyfriend and I went to The Hague to find an apartment. We'll be going back in about 2 weeks, because luck wasn't on our side that day. 

Yesterday I went to Tomorrowland, and I'll be there today and tomorrow aswell. As you might know my boyfriend is a D&B dj and he has to play there today. So if you're going to tomorrowland, go to the Star Warz Stage at 14u30 o'clock and check out Alert (my man) & Bonafide :-)

Last night I took some pictures with my phone, of course I forgot my camera. The quality isn't that good, but I still wanted to share my first impressions of the festival. I'll be back with more and better photos on monday.

The prettiest stage in my opinion is the Q Dance stage. The hardstyle that is played there isn't my style of music at all, but I enjoy every kind of music when I'm at a festival.

The Move

For the past week I've been a little bit preoccupied, because I have some huge news to share with you guys: in August the boyfriend and I are moving to The Hague in The Netherlands. He's going to study there for a year and I decided to move there together with him.

We still have so many things that we need to get in order. We need to find an apartment, find a new job, all the paperwork, ... But it's all so very exciting and I can't wait to be there!

These pictures are from our last trip to The Hague in April, it was such a fun weekend. I kinda forgot about these pictures, but thought this was the appropriate time to show them.

Blogger Meeting

Last saturday Antwerp was the place to be. Stéphanie from Stylelab organized a bloggers meeting, in total we were with 17 bloggers (fashion and beauty). I had such a great day and finally got to meet lots of people I only knew online, so I can't wait untill the next edition.

We started the day with some dinner on the sunny terras of Foodmaker. That mozzarella sandwich was delicious!

 After dinner Stéphanie explained what we had to do.

She made a great fashion & beauty quiz, not so easy if you know that we had to take pictures of the answers. The winners of the challenge could win a great goodiebag, so we all were very eager to win :)

Afterwards we went to do some shopping and we had something to drink so we had some more time to talk.

I had a wonderful day and want to thank Stéphanie for organizing this great event. And of course everybody who was there and made this day so much fun.

Happy New Year

I'm really sorry for my absence the past days! My dad got hospitalised a week ago, but everything is okay right now. I'm hoping that he'll be back home really soon.

Confessions

I have to admit that I'm not blogging as much as I would like. I guess we all have that problem, work/school are just things you can't ignore.

Well, today I did ignore my schoolwork and only did what I really wanted to do. I got into something comfy (really not worth an outfitshot) and catched up on some necessary picture taking for my blog. I was busy with that all afternoon.

The kitten kept me company and the radio made my afternoon complete. I chose 3 cd's that I'm loving at the moment and they played all afternoon. I linked the titles of the cd's with a song from the album on youtube. Click click and enjoy!

Flair

Today is the day that I got published in a magazine! What an honour!

A while ago I got contacted by Elise who works for Flair magazine in Belgium. She asked me if I was interested in being published in an article about Belgian bloggers. Of course I said yes.

The photoshoot was about 3 weeks ago and I was rather nervous (I've had never done anything like this before). But I had a great time. Everybody was so friendly, I got to wear beautiful clothes (I ♥ my shoes) and my hair and make-up looked perfect. The picture turned out so beautiful, I love it!

Busy

I'm sorry for my absence, I just had a few very busy days. 

* I needed to find a place for my internship that starts next week and I finally found one after a lot of searching.

* I had a meeting with the guy who's going to help me with my thesis. I already got lots of things to read, so I'll know what to do with my free time.

* I also started swimming again. It's just a few hours a week, but when I get home I just want to lay in my sofa and watch tv (I guess I feel like I deserve it after some swimming).

Today I'm only showing you guys a detail shot, not a complete outfit. I'm wearing this with a simple dark grey sweaterdress and black leggings.

These shoes are almost impossible to walk in, so I only wear them when I don't need to walk a lot (like today, I'm just spending the day at home).

I'm Back Again!

Well, I'm back home again from Paris. We had a lovely time there and I was sad to leave the city! We did some shopping and of course I bought some things. I'll post about them later this week.

I'm Leaving Again

Well my friends, I'll be away from this blog again untill friday. The boyfriend and I will be spending some days in Paris. Can't wait to be there again!

I'm Back!

Just a quick post to let you guys know that I'm back home from a lovely holiday!

We got home last sunday, it just took me a few days to get everything back the way it was. So that's why I didn't post anything sooner.

I'm Off!

This will be my last blogpost for a little longer than 2 weeks, because tomorrow I'm leaving for a holiday!

My family and I will be going to Ile d'Oléron in France. We used to go there every year since I was 5 years old. The last time I was there was like 8 years ago, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the island agian.

I'm so sad my boyfriend can't come with us, because he has to work. I really wanted to show him the island where I used to spend all my summers. At least now I know that our kitten will be cared for by someone who he knows :)

Oops!

This is the thing that always happens to me, when my holiday starts I take some time off from this blog. I do it without any warning and I really don't plan on doing it, but it just always turns out this way.

I did have a wonderful week :) Last monday I went shopping in Maastricht (and enjoyed a little bit of the football-crazyness), I already watched an entire season of Gilmore Girls, I enjoyed the really hot weather here in Belgium, ...

I bought some lovely stuff the past week, so I'll have lots of thing to talk about.

Holiday!

Well, my holiday has finally started. I made my last exam last thursday (I did good) and I'm so happy to be free right now :)

I have more time to blog, to do fun stuff, go shopping (sales are almost starting!), time to do whatever I want and you can't believe how happy I am with that!

This is just a quick post, to let you guys know I'm still here. Tomorrow I'll be posting a new outfitshot!

For today I have some great news, well at least for me! I went to a local supermarket yesterday and I found out that they sell macarons in my own town. The joy! Of course I took a box home and they're delicious (I didn't expect them to be so good). I took a picture of them, just to make you guys jalous ;)

The Big Change!

From now on I'll also be reviewing all kinds of beauty products on this blog, next to fashion, outfits, etc. I've already made several beauty related posts on my blog, but from now on things will be different.

I've always been very aware of the way that I live. I'm a very green person, even if I say so myself. I try to take the bike or public transport as much as possible, I'm a vegetarian, I buy bio vegetables, fruits, etc., I'm a hardcore recycler (it even drives some people crazy, because I take recycling very very far), I don't waste anything, ... Really, I can go on and on about a greener way of living.

Recently it dawned on me that when it comes to buying beauty products, I wasn't that green as I wanted to be. So I decided to make a radical change in everything that's beauty related.

I try to buy as much products with Ecocert, Cosmebio, ... labels or products that are as much natural as possible (without parabens,etc.) when it comes to my beauty-routine.

And I only buy products that aren't tested on animals (product and ingredients). I just can't handle the thought that animals are suffering for our mascara's (etc.), when there are lot's of other ways to test these products.

This isn't as easy as it sounds, because many products are tested on animals. It forced me to go on a search for new brands that make me happy and it also made me say goodbye to several brands that I was already using for years (and loved).

So from now on I'll only be posting about beauty products that fit perfectly with my new way of life!

My new favorites are: L'Occitane en Provence, Balm Balm, Lavera, Weleda, Kneipp, Nuxe Bio-Beauté, Nvey, Yes To Carrots, ...

Just for the record: I really don't want to criticize anyone, or anyone's way of living. I really respect everyone's choices, but I think it's worth to think about how we humans treath the world and other living beings!

Weekends!

Weekends are so much fun. Don't you guys agree with me?

Yesterday the boyfriend and I went for a drink with a friend of ours who just celebrated her birthday. Having drinks outside all evening in this fine weather is just so much fun! Too bad we both need to study for our exams and can't enjoy the warm/hot weather to the fullest.

Yesterday I wore this catdress from Zara. Many things have been said about this dress, because it's really obvious that it's a MiuMiu rip-off from Zara. But I just love it, since I'm a crazy cat lady (like my sister always says). This dress is made for hot weather, such a soft fabric and loose fit, perfect!

I still need to tell you guys about last weekend, it was great. I finally met up with my best friends again to go out in our town. They surprised me with my birthdaygift, which was absolutely great. They got me some cans of Dr. Pepper (my favorite drink of all times, but so hard to find in Belgium), a magazine subscription and...

this cute, adorable, delicious, ... birthday-cake! Isn't this the cutest cake you guys have ever seen??? It's made by my friend's sister who makes the most beautiful cakes in the world. It was so yummy, but it made me feel kinda sad to eat this masterpiece (crazy-cat-lady like I said before)!

Thanks again for this great present my sweet friends!

No Time

In my previous post I said that I was going to post much more because I'm studying right now, well that turned out to be wrong :) I really haven't got the time to make some blogposts, outfitshots, etc. So I'm making this little post to let you guys know that I'll be back next friday (15th of January) when my exams are over. Right now I have to get back to my books (Egyptian art, Islamic art and European literature).

I still want to wish all of you a great 2010, a year in which hopefully all our dreams will come true!

Grrrr...

I know I've been away for 2 weeks, but this time it's not because I was too busy with other stuff. I had some problems with blogger, I couldn't log myself in... I'm glad everything works now!
