What Did I Get?

After the outfit I still have to show you guys what I brought home with me from my shoppingtrip in Antwerp.
I have to tell you that not everything is in these pictures. Our camera is a little old and started to work against me. Not everything turned out good in the pictures, so you'll have to wait untill you get to see my gorgeous new sweaters from COS. But I can assure you that they're worth the wait :)
Dress from Zara
 Blouse from New Look
 Pants from H&M
Hairaccessorie from H&M and necklace from New Look
 Scarf from H&M
 Scarf from Urban Outfitters
 Scarf from Pimkie
Zara Home goodies (review will follow soon)

Most of the items were on sale, except the scarf with the birds, the COS sweaters and the feathered hairaccessorie. Don't you just love sales?! I know I do!
Did you already went sale shopping?

Have a great weekend.
Love,
Imelda

Not Another Wishlist

Lists, lists, lists, ... Seems like the only thing I do these days is making lists. My grocery shopping list, articles that I still have to write, to do lists and of course the most important list of them all: my wishlist.
I can't open a magazine or website without adding at least one piece to that list. For instance, last night I felt like checking out ASOS again (always leaving me with huge cravings). I only checked out the accessories and jewelry sections and ended with these pieces on the wishlist. To be honest, I didn't even have the guts to check out the rest of the site. Maybe I'll feel braver tonight ;) I'll keep you updated.

Do you like my picks? And I really want to know, do you guys make lists?
Love,
Imelda

Jewelry Galore

We all know that accessories can play an important role to make an outfit just that little more special. I guess that was the only thing on my mind during my last shoppingtrip in Antwerp, since I bought quite a few pieces of jewelry that day.
I really wanted to show my new discoveries on the blog, simply because I find them all so beautiful. Hope you don't mind the picture overload.
These cuffs from H&M were on top of my wishlist. I already tried them on a month earlier in The Hague and regretted not buying them, so I rapidly placed these beauties in my shopping basket.
When this H&M necklace made an appearance on Sofie's blog I knew that I had to have it too. Such a beautiful piece and that color gives an instant boost to even the simplest outfit.
I bought this shell necklace from H&M because it made me feel totally nostalgic to my summers spent at Ile d'Oléron. My sister and I always bought necklaces and bracelets decorated with shells, so I just had to buy this one for old times' sake.
You can't do wrong with some neon colored bracelets, so I dropped these in the basket in a jiffy. I'm even sorry that I didn't buy these in other colors aswell, really have to stop by H&M again soon.
These hair combs are from H&M. I'm still in doubt if I'm ever going to use them (or how I'm going to use them), but I thought they were too beautiful to leave them behind.
Lately I'm totally into wearing earrings again (it really comes and goes). These babies are from New Look and match the ethnic trend that's so hot right now. They're a bit on the heavy side, but so worth it!
I was looking for a statement necklace with something white and I found the perfect one at New Look. Totally what I had in mind!
This zebra ring from H&M was just too cute to resist, so I just bought it. And as it turns out I'm actually wearing this one quite a lot. It's a little bit over the top, but that's what makes me like it even more.

Do you guys like wearing jewelry? What do you think of my buys?
Love,
Imelda

Let's Go Etnic

Etnic clothing and accessories will be one of the trends for this summer. I don't know how you guys feel about that, but I'm very happy with this.
Today I made a little post to show you guys in what way I would wear this trend. Like I said I'm very happy with this trend, but I would create an Etnic look with accessories and keep the rest of the outfit simple. Hope you like it.
I would wear this beautiful, yet casual jumpsuit from Mango and add some Etnic accessories from Uterque to be in line with the trend.
I'm so in love with this clutch!
One bracelet for every arm
How do you feel about the Etnic trend? Are you going for the complete look or would you do it the same way as I?
Love,
Imelda

Valentino Eyewear: Spring-Summer 2011

When I received the images from the Valentino Eyewear Flash Collection I fell in love with these beautiful Retro Chic sunglasses. I already have a huge collection of sunglasses, but these are at the top of my wishlist.
"These butterfly-shaped injected sunglasses - lit up by a Swarovski pavé frame- project vintage elegance."
That, to me, sounds perfect (especially since we're having some great sunny weather here in Belgium).
Do you guys like these sunglasses?

Imelda

I Did Some... Shopping

Last tuesday I went to Antwerp together with my parents and my sister. We decided to go out and enjoy the good weather, while doing some spring shopping. The good weather is always a good excuse to add some more pretty things to your wardrobe, isn't it?
I opted for some pieces that I'll get full use of during this spring and summer. Can't wait to try them on!
 H&M Pants
New Look Shirt
 New Look Cardigan
H&M Bracelets
New Look Earrings

Do you like my new pieces? Did you recently buy something that's perfect for spring/summer?
Love,
Imelda

My New Ring

If you guys remember my X-Mas wishlist, you'll probably also remember that there was a ring on the list. Too bad I couldn't get the ring I wanted, because I was right in between 2 sizes.
So I went on a ring search and stumbled upon the Double Spike Through Finger ring from ASOS. And I fell in love! This ring is perfect for me, I love things a little out of the ordinary.
Funny, how something you're really not happy about makes you end up with an even prettier ring.

The boyfriend deserves all the credit, because he got it for me as a late christmas gift. Isn't he the greatest?
Do you guys like my new ring?
Love,
Imelda

Designers Against Aids

Designers Against Aids (DAA) is a Belgian non-profit organisation which started 10 years ago.
The main objective of Designers Against Aids is to raise awareness and to get the subject of HIV/AIDS back into the media all over the world, as lately it has become a forgotten disease, especially in the western world. 'Prevention is the only cure for HIV/AIDS' (protect yourself and your partner) and 'Know your status' (get tested) are their most important messages. Designers Against Aids also fights for the acceptance of and equal rights for seropositive people.

Designers Against Aids (born in Belgium, but active all over the world) wants to reach young people by using their favorite celebrities from music, fashion, sports and art to raise their interest. The most important tool for DAA is their website www.designersagainstaids.com, where we can learn more about the disease and read about other AIDS organisations. This way visitors can learn how to protect themselves or help others who are less fortunate.
This picture is the cover of Designers Against Aids latest project. This book (Designers Against Aids: The First Decade) is a collection of more then a hundred amazing pictures. A look at the past: 10 years of initiatives and campaigns, highlighting the most beautiful and significant moments and the inspiring story of founder Ninette Murk. In addition Peter Piot, former president of UNAIDS and philosopher/writer Alain de Botton contributed to this book. The cover is a photograph by Erwin Olaf.
The proceeds of this book all go to the international HIV/AIDS Awareness Education Center (IHAEC), located in Antwerp, where students from all over the world will receive education on how to set up succesfull HIV prevention and awareness programs.
The book costs 29,90 euros and is available on the DAA-website or on amazon.com and in several bookstores.
I guess we all know the Fashion Against Aids collections by H&M. Designers Against Aids started this collaboration in 2008 and it was an instant succes. 25% of the sales prices of each garnment is directly donated to HIV/AIDS awareness projects.
I myself am a huge fan of these collaborations and can't think of a better way to spread the message amongst people. I already showed my FAA buys on this blog, check: here & here.

This condom pouch is the newest result of another great collaboration. This time Designers Against Aids choose Delvaux as their partner. This pouch is a great Valentine's Day gift or just to spoil yourself.
Keep in mind that this is a real collectors item, since there are only 18 pieces available. Of course the proceeds will be donated to Designers Against Aids.
Available in the Delvaux-webshop and DAA-website. Price: 138 euros.

What do you guys think about this great organisation? Did you already buy something to support Designers Against Aids?
Love,
Imelda

Yet Another Shoplog

Last week I went on yet another shoppingtrip, this time together with my sister. It was a fun day out! Too bad we spended way too much money and the shopping was over after 4 shops or so ;)
I've been wanting a chunky knit cardigan for some time now and I finally found one at New Look that's perfect in my opinion. I always thought I would go for a black one, but I fell for this rusty brown color. Now I'm ready for winter (yeah right!), it's so warm. Love it!
This is the neckline of my new maxi dress, from the beachwear collection at New Look. I can't wait to wear this dress on a hot summer day, I've already got the complete look ready in my head.
Some more products to add to my collection (or let's call it my little shop). M.A.C Brush Cleanser, Rituals Awareness Eye Make-up Remover, Rituals Sakura Body Scrub and Rituals Ginko's Secret Hand Balm. I'll review all these Rituals products in the next couple of months.
These earrings are from New Look and the necklace is from New Yorker (a lucky find). I already have so many accessories, but I just couldn't resist these. Simply too pretty!

So do you guys like my new things? Did you do some shopping lately?
Love,
Imelda

Meet My Newest Obsession

It's no secret that I'm a huge handbag lover! Today I want to show my newest obsession: the Légende handbag by Longchamp.
A rather simple leather bag with 2 small zippered pockets on the front, but such a beauty! It's available in several colors, but I want mine to be black! I'm going to try and save up the money to buy this beauty.
Oh and I'm also adding a black or dark blue Pliage and terracotta colored Gatsby to my wishlist!
Note: the bags are so much prettier in real life than in these pictures!

I ♥ Buying New Things

Last tuesday I went shopping in Brussels. Those who follow me on twitter already read that I've had a good day and I came home with a few great buys. Funny, last week I was claiming that I hardly find great things during the sales period and now things have totally changed.
Oh and please forgive me for the pictures that don't look too good. I've been trying to make pictures all day, but I just don't seem to have any luck today!
This loose dark blue t-shirt is from COS. Sometimes I want to buy everything at COS and sometimes I just leave the store disappointed. I was lukcy this time and found 2 pieces, both at 70% off!
I think this piece is great for summer, since it's so loose. I fell in love with the shoulder details.
This black longsleeved blouse is the second piece I bought at COS. I've been on a search for a dress/blouse with sleeves like this for a long time now. But the pieces I've tried before really didn't suit me and weren't as soft as this one.
I promise I'll show these 2 pieces in an outfitshot, since the pictures don't do them justice.
I finally bought myself a satchel bag! I've been wanting one for so so so long and I've finally found my match. It was available in black and brown. I choose the black one, because I simply have too many brown bags already. But I think I might end up getting the brown one aswell, since it was so cheap at New Look.
And last but not least, meet my new pair of boots I got at New Look. I was too late to buy the ones with the fur collar, but these are even better (since they have no fur and are suitable for more occasions).
Oh and I also ordered a similar pair in black. I'll show them on the blog when my sister gives them to me. Shoe-aholic, me?!

So I hope you guys enjoyed this post (even with these pictures).
Do you guys like my new buys? Did you buy anything lately?
Love,
Imelda
