My New Ring

If you guys remember my X-Mas wishlist, you'll probably also remember that there was a ring on the list. Too bad I couldn't get the ring I wanted, because I was right in between 2 sizes. 

So I went on a ring search and stumbled upon the Double Spike Through Finger ring from ASOS. And I fell in love! This ring is perfect for me, I love things a little out of the ordinary.

Funny, how something you're really not happy about makes you end up with an even prettier ring.

The boyfriend deserves all the credit, because he got it for me as a late christmas gift. Isn't he the greatest?

When the boyfriend and I were in Maastricht he surprised me with a little gift. I'm such a lucky girl, my boyfriend is the sweetest in the world.

We were checking out the home decorations at De Bijenkorf and we stumbled into a Valentine's Day display. Of course I took a quick look and found this cute tray with cats on it. I love goodies like this, a bit kitsch, funny, sweet, pretty and not too serious.

My boyfriend was so sweet to buy it for me, because he knows I'm a cat lover. The sentence is very sweet and so true!

Of course I'm very happy with this gift, so I just had to show it to you guys!

Roses For Me

Valentine's Day is getting closer! Even if you don't participate in the Valentine madness, you just can't ignore all the hearts and love in stores.

Gifts

It's already the end of january and I still haven't shown you guys the Christmas and New Year presents I received this year. So this calls for a post filled with lovely presents.

Before we get to the pictures I want to say that there are some things that I didn't photograph for the blog, like the facial I got from my parents, money and the ring I'm getting from my boyfriend. When I get my ring I'll show it here, I promise.

This gorgeous round box is a gift from my sister. Isn't it beautiful??! She always buys me the best gifts!

I really love the colors, the flowers (which are painted on) and the details on the lid. And it's very big, so it's perfect to put lots of my stuff in.

My sister also got me 2 little plates from Oil & Vinegar. So pretty and summery :) 

The cd 'Sur mes gardes' by Joyce Jonathan is a gift from my boyfriend. When I was in France last summer I really loved hearing her song 'Je ne sais pas' on the radio. When I got home I regretted me not buying her cd and I couldn't find it here in Belgium. So when he was in Paris he brought it home for me as an early Christmas present.

The boyfriend and I spended New Year's eve together with my sister & her boyfriend, my niece & her boyfriend and a friend in my niece her new house. It was a fun evening with delicous food, singstar and band hero games, ... and every year we have to buy a little gift for someone in the group. Our friend Jolien had to buy me a gift and she gave me an Ayurveda giftset from Rituals. And you guys know I'm a Rituals lover, so she couldn't have picked a better gift. The box contained Himalaya Clay, Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel, Brilliant Bliss Shampoo and Honey Touch Body Cream. Smells so good!

At the end of december I entered the giveaway at Eva's Beautyblog for the first anniversary of her blog. I really wanted to win the Ayurveda giftbox she was giving away (I'm an addict!) and it turned out I was the happy winner. Ok, technically this isn't a Christmas present, but for me it is :)

This box contained Himalaya Clay, Shanti Shower Gel and Honey Touch Body Cream. Thanks again Eva for the great giveaway!

What a coincidence that I won this box and a friend gave me almost the same box as a gift, don't you think?

Souvenir

Today I want to show you guys my new and very beautiful jewelry box. My mom and dad brought it home for me from Egypt and I LOVE IT!

I'm a huge fan of souvenirs and I like them even more when I can really use them and they're as pretty as this one. You can't really see it in these pictures but it's has a pearly shine and the colors are a bit warmer. Thank you very much mom and dad!

Ruffles By Mexx

Just a quick post to show you guys the newest addition to my closet, a floral ruffled top by Mexx. This is the first item by Mexx in my closet, maybe I have to consider shopping at Mexx more often.

The day that the sales started my mom and I went to the supermarket and we decided to check out a small shop in our town which has some nice clothes. It was love at first sight! How could I resist the floral print, the ruffles, the super soft fabric and the 30% off?

It got even better when my mom said she would pay for it, just as a little gift for no reason. She's just too sweet for words!

Well as a birthday gift to myself I gave this blog some cool fishies! They'll be hangin around at the bottom of this blog :)

Lovely Roses!

Last week my boyfriend and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary! We had a great dinner in a nice restaurant and in the evening we went to a party in Ghent (my boyfriend had to DJ there). When he got home from work he surprised me with these beautiful red roses. Exactly 4, because we are together for 4 years. He's so sweet and the roses are wonderfull!

The color of the roses is actually deep red, but it really didn't turn out that way in the pictures!

Le Louvre

I know I haven't kept my promise about updating this blog more often, but I'm glad to be back. The last few weeks I didn't think about anything else than school. I had to get everything ready because now I'm studying for my exams which start in about 2 weeks. I still have lots of things that I want to post, so you can expect much more posts from now on.

A week ago I went to Paris, I had a presentation in the Louvre that counts as an exam. Everything went really good, so I don't think I need to worry about it. Too bad I didn't had any time left to see some more of Paris, so that's why I only have one picture to show.You guys know by now how much I love the city of Paris and how I can't wait to move there. My boyfriend knows this aswell, so he gave me the most perfect Christmas present ever: a 4 day citytrip to Paris in february. I can't wait untill exams are over and I can visit the best city in the world again.

Hasselt

Last monday I went shopping in Hasselt with my mom and sister. We had a nice day out and my mom bought me some lovely things! She's so sweet!

These beautifull sandals are from Zara and for me they're just perfect! They used to be 50 euros, but now they were 30 euros. Always nice to get a discount like that.

Again I got myself some lovely products from The Body Shop. It seems that every time I go to this shop I buy something. This time I chose the White Musk Blush showergel and bodylotion. Another great smelling product from The Body Shop!
I needed another day cream and I decided to buy Aqua Fusion by Lancôme. I have really dry skin and I know this cream is really good for me. I allready had the chance to try it out a while ago, because I won this cream with a magazine contest. It costed 36 euros, but my mom said I didn't need to save up on good facialproducts. I completely agree with her!

While I was making these pictures in our backyard our little rabbit Elvis (even though it's a girl) became very curious, so she wouldn't leave me alone. She's always running around in our backyard and she's so funny and sweet. I took this picture and thought she looked so cute, so I decided to post this picture aswell!

Beautifull gift

Today I had exam number 2 and it wasn't that great... I had do to some stuff in Excel, but I really hate that, so I tried to do it as good as possible. The second part was really good, it was photoshop and that's just easy. So lets all hope that it isn't that bad in total!

Now on to happier stuff!

When we were in Brussels we also stopped by Zara Home, I really really love that store. My sweet boyfriend, who has great taste when buying gifts, bought me this cute soapholder as a late birthday gift. I just love pieces like this, it looks like it came out of an antique baroque interiour!

I'm not using it as a soapholder, but I use it to keep my rings, earrings, ... on my toilettable.

I just can't stop looking at it, because I love it so much!

Gifts!

It's time to talk about my lovely Christmas gifts!

I got this cuckoo wallclock from my boyfriend. I wanted something like that for some time now and he bought it for me. Actually when I think about it, he gave me lots of great gifts: this clock, the shoes, the purse and the complete series of SATC. He's the best boyfriend ever!

My sister gave me this thermos, she got it at a really cute store in Antwerp. I wanted this for some time now, so this gift is awesome. I just love the color and the flowerprint. 

If I don't use it, it still looks great when I place it in my kitchen.

My mom and dad gave me the flowerbomb perfume I talked about in an earlier post. So nice of them, because it's a real expensive perfume.

My boyfriends mom and dad gave me a giftcard for a great bookstore. I can't wait to go and buy a great book there.

My grandparents and other familymembers gave me money and I can use that aswell since I just bought this computer last month.

I will have more posts about interiorstuff this week, because my boyfriend and I are planning on moving in together when the new schoolyear starts in September. I know it's only January, but we need to start looking soon enough for a great place.

We allready have some great stuff for our appartment that I'll show you guys in another post. And I allready found some great stuff on the internet that I must have for the appartment. I'm showing you guys that aswell.
