Paris entre Chats!

I've been away from this blog again, I know. I tried to take outfitshots, but it's too dark when I get home from school. I'll try to make some pictures tomorrow, I promise.

I finally got my new book which I ordered a few weeks ago: Paris entre Chats. It's a photography book with pictures from cats in Paris (the title says it all). I wanted to buy it when I was in Paris last time, but I didn't. I couldn't get the book out of my head so I ordered it at Fnac. And it's really beautiful and nice to look in. It's a book for cat- and photographylovers, I can recommed it to everybody!

The New Label.Fashion Focus

The new Label.Fashion Focus is in stores right now. I received it yesterday and read it cover to cover. Again the magazine covers lots of interesting subjects: Handmade Fashion!!!, Beautiful French Labels, Madeleine Vionnet, Comptoir Des Cotonniers, The Best Styled Photoshoots and I can go on and on about it. It's a must-read if you're into fashion! If you can't get enough of Label.Fashion Focus (like me) just visit their blog with lots of fashion news posted daily.

Selling points

Label. Fashion Focus

Label. Fashion Focus is the newest Belgian fashion magazine in town. This magazine is purely about fashion, needless to say I love it! They not only present beautiful clothes and shoes, shopping tips in several cities, they also take us behind the scenes of fashion. In this edition you can read about handcrafted shoes (I loved this article) and Seal Kay-jeans. I really enjoyed reading the article about cross-overs, especially the collaborations of Zaha Hadid Architects with Lacoste and Louis Vuitton with Sofia Coppola made me really curious. It's such a hot topic right now and this shows that Label. Fashion Focus is the best source for the newest fashion news. If you can't get enough of the paper version (selling points), don't worry, they also have a blog which is daily updated with the best news in fashion. Both the magazine and the blog are a must-read!

I also had the chance to go to the Label. Fashion Focus party at Urban Outfitters in Antwerp. I finally had the chance to meet the editor-in-chief Stéphanie Duval and we had a nice chat. I really enjoyed talking to you Stéphanie! It was a lovely party with free Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, red bull and Kiehl's goodies. Personal Shopper Emma was there to restyle everyone who wanted. The photographer of the evening was Jeroen Visser, Antwerps very own streetstyle blogger. I took some pictures that evening, but I can't find them anywere. So I took these pictures from the Label. Fashion History

I love Taschen. Their books are so beautiful and nice to look in. I could really spend an entire day looking trough my books and enjoy the great pictures.

Last week I bought this great book about fashion history form the 18th to the 20th century. It has 720 pages full with the most beautiful dresses and accessories, this book is just a dream. The book is based on the collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute. Gosh, I sure hope I can go and see their collection in real life someday.

Gifts!

It's time to talk about my lovely Christmas gifts!

I got this cuckoo wallclock from my boyfriend. I wanted something like that for some time now and he bought it for me. Actually when I think about it, he gave me lots of great gifts: this clock, the shoes, the purse and the complete series of SATC. He's the best boyfriend ever!

My sister gave me this thermos, she got it at a really cute store in Antwerp. I wanted this for some time now, so this gift is awesome. I just love the color and the flowerprint. 

If I don't use it, it still looks great when I place it in my kitchen.

My mom and dad gave me the flowerbomb perfume I talked about in an earlier post. So nice of them, because it's a real expensive perfume.

My boyfriends mom and dad gave me a giftcard for a great bookstore. I can't wait to go and buy a great book there.

My grandparents and other familymembers gave me money and I can use that aswell since I just bought this computer last month.

I will have more posts about interiorstuff this week, because my boyfriend and I are planning on moving in together when the new schoolyear starts in September. I know it's only January, but we need to start looking soon enough for a great place.

We allready have some great stuff for our appartment that I'll show you guys in another post. And I allready found some great stuff on the internet that I must have for the appartment. I'm showing you guys that aswell.

My last shoppingday this year

Last friday I went shopping in Antwerp with my sister. My last shopping day untill the end of january. My exams start in 2 weeks and I need to do some serious studying, so no more shopping for me.
The good thing is that I save money and when I go back to shopping the stores will be filled with new clothes! I'm looking forward!

Because it was my last time, I decided not to doubt and buy everything I liked.
The first buy is this white blouse I got at Mango. I was searching a shirt like this for quite some time now, but the problem with white is that you need to find something not to transparant. This one isn't to transparant and costed 30 euros.

This dress I also got at Mango. It costed 55 euros and was one of the cheapest dresses that were in store.
I really like the floral design.

Another really wide skirt and finally a purple one. It only costed 13 euros in a really nice secondhand shop.

2 blue tights by H&M and the brown flats are from New Look and only costed 18 euros. Very comfy, especially when you go on vacation.

Finally I bought some new books. They're filled with vintage fashion-adds. Really beautiful to see. Only 14 euros for the 2 books.

Another shopping day

As usual I went shopping last friday! I only went to H&M and Zara. The buys I'm showing today are all H&M. I also bought a black trenchcoat (FINALLY!!!!!) at Zara, but I'll tell you guys about that in another post.

This t-shirt has little stones around the neckline, but there not that clear in the picture. So you'll just have to believe me that it's really beautiful. The fabric is very soft, so it's a warm and comfy t-shirt, but the stones give it a fancy touch.

This dress reminded me of the dresses everyone in 'Sex and the City' wears to sleep. It only costed 15 euros and I can wear it to sleep and as a normal dress aswell.

I really like the white lace and that just makes the dress perfect.
Some brown overknees and a bleu wallet, stuff I just couldn't resist buying.

I went home for the weekend and my sister had a little surprise for me. She gave me this book about Olivier Strelli, which she got for free when she went to the movies. She didn't want the book, so I'm the new owner.

I must say the designs and clothes are not my cup of tea, but the book is fabulous. The pictures are beautiful, when I've got a scanner I'll try to post some of my favourite pictures.

The best part is ofcourse that she got it for free. I looked it up this morning and normally it costs 50 euros. Well, thank you sis!

Back on track

Finally I'm back in business with blogging. I'm really sorry, but my internet refused to work and my computer broke down. But now I have a new computer, a gorgeous white macbook, so I won't leave you guys alone again.

Since there was no computer-time last week and the week before I did some serious shopping. But I didn't mind that at all.

The first buy is a black dress/long t-shirt with glitters from H&M. I just love the period around the holidays, there are always nice shiny things in stores and I just love them!

This is a grey/silver sweater by Vero Moda and again shiny. It's really loose and it has really wide sleeves, so comfy.
I finally found my black shinny latex looking leggings at H&M. Kinda expensive for leggings, 20 euros, but I just couldn't resist. The bleu top is also from H&M, I plan on using it as a bikini. It made me think of the color of an eighties prom dress.
The fake fur scarf and grey hat are from H&M (again). I was looking for a fur stole for some time now, but I wasn't able to find a nice one. So I bought this one, really cheap and I like it.

If you look good you can see a brooche on my hat. I bought it in a secondhand shop, it's nice to make an outfit look more pretty.

I also bought a giftset at H&M for myself. A girl can spoil herself once in a while!
Again another bag... I just needed to buy this one, it's by Mango and I don't have that many red bags. So why not buy it?
My boyfriend gave me the complete series of sex and the city as an early Christmas gift. So awesome. I can get some serious outfit inspiration out of that.

And I bought myself a book about stiletto's and one from taschen about Fashion Now. 

I decided that from now on I'm going to start with buying one book a week, like I used to do.
I also bought two pair of shoes, but I'm unable to upload that photo now, so I'll do that tomorrow.
