Review: My Hand Ritual

I'm one of those girls who's always suffering from very dry hands and that's something that can really drive me crazy. I really hate the feeling of dry hands, so you can already guess that I'm a hand cream addict.
A few weeks ago I've found the perfect solution to make my hands soft and hydrated and I found it at Rituals.
I fell for the Hand Therapy Hand Scrub and Ginko's Secret Hand Balm. I thought it would be nice to write a little article about my new hand ritual and maybe get you guys addicted too.
I start with applying the Hand Therapy Hand Scrub on my dry hands and scrub them gently for a minute. This is something very relaxing for me, after the first time I was hooked. After that I rince of the scrub and my hands feel super soft, it's perfect to get of rid of some rougher spots.
The scrub already hydrates my hands (it leaves an oily layer), but I end the ritual with a little drop of Ginko's Secret Hand Balm. Just because I feel that the combination of these two products give the best result.
Both products smell very good. I can't really discribe it in words, so if I made you curious with this article you should really check out these products at your nearest Rituals store. I'm sure you'll love them too.

Did you already try any of these Rituals products?
Love,
Imelda

Imelda's Inspiration Pt.2

I want to apologize for my absence the past few days, I've just been extremely busy. Last weekend I went to The Hague with my boyfriend. I got home on tuesday and wednesday I had to start at my new job, so it was a bit hectic the last couple of days. I also seem to have misplaced my cardreader, so I'm not able to upload any of my pictures for the moment.
Luckily my inspiration posts aren't so hard for me to write, since my laptop is filled with inspirational photos. I hope you guys like my newest selection!
Another DIY project, can't wait to start this one.
 Decorating is one of the things I love doing the most and I really enjoy looking at beautiful compositions like this one.
Love this outfit. I think it's the white watch that really does it for me.
 I really enjoy looking at old pictures, makes me feel nostalgic.
Golden shiny things always do the trick for me, so these shoes are perfection in my eyes. Makes me think of my own similar pair.

I wish you all a great friday!
Love,
Imelda

Filippa K Inseason

Judging from all the spring-summer collections that I've seen so far, I'm sure this year will be very fashionable. This is also the case for the newest Filippa K collection.
A basic yet beautiful collection that makes me want to run to the shop immediately. Hope you enjoy looking at these looks as much as I do.

 This look is my absolute favorite!

What do you guys think? Do you like these looks or are they too basic for your taste?

Imelda

Forever 21

What I'm about to tell today isn't a secret anymore, I've seen the news on a lot of blogs already, but I wanted to write about the good news myself. Forever 21 is finally opening stores in Brussel and Antwerp this year!
Forever 21 is an urban streetstyle label that's very popular in the United States (and I guess in Belgium too pretty soon). Their collections are inspired by the latest catwalk trends but don't have the same price tag. In other words: Fashion for everybody!
I'm already showing you guys some great looks from the spring-summer 2011 collection. The sooner these shops open, the better!

 My favorite look!
Are you looking forward to having Forever 21 in Belgium?
Love,
Imelda

Imelda's Inspiration Pt.1

I'm on a constant search for great ideas to improve this blog and make it more personal (I guess we all are). Recently it came to me that it would be a nice idea to post the pictures that  inspire me or that simply give me a good feeling.
These pictures can have anything as a subject, the sky is the limit. Fashion, beauty, food, home inspiration, flowers, DIY projects ... If I like it you'll see it on this blog.
The good news is that I plan on doing this every friday from now on. Enjoy!
 That sweater screams for a DIY project. I'll keep you updated.
 My favorite pair of shoes (at the moment). Too bad they're not that comfortable.
 Another project on my DIY list, cute little birds to spice up my living room.
 All I can say is that I WANT NEED this!
 Great tattoo.
This is the perfect way to make a simple grey sweater a statement piece.

I hope you like this new idea. Feel free to let me know in the comments.
Love,
Imelda

Say Hello...

... to my new shoes!
If you read my report about the Steve Madden store opening in Antwerp you might remember that I got a coupon for a free pair of shoes. Since I was in Antwerp last saturday for the blogger meeting, I decided to get the pair I spotted the moment I entered the shop on thursday. Curious to see them?
Even though I already knew which pair I would get, I still doubted for a moment. There are so many beautiful shoes in the shop, so a girl can get confused :)
In the end I decided to go for this pair of black ankle boots (my first thought). They're very comfortable and easy to wear with a lot of different outfits. I guess these will show up on my blog regularly.

Do you like my new shoes? Did you already get something from the Steve Madden store?

Sandrina Fasoli: Spring-Summer 2011

Sandrina Fasoli has been on my fashionradar ever since the collaboration with Mango in 2009 got announced. Since than I've been a huge fan of the brand.
The spring-summer collection for this year has stolen my heart. I fell for the details, the different fabrics, the clean cuts, ... The campaign, shot by Benjamin Travade, has a vintage feeling to it. Every picture is more beautiful than the previous one (I had to stop myself from putting every single photo on my blog).

What do you guys think of this collection?
Love,
Imelda

Blogger Meeting

Last saturday Antwerp was the place to be. Stéphanie from Stylelab organized a bloggers meeting, in total we were with 17 bloggers (fashion and beauty). I had such a great day and finally got to meet lots of people I only knew online, so I can't wait untill the next edition.
 Here's the complete group!
All lovely people and great bloggers.
We started the day with some dinner on the sunny terras of Foodmaker. That mozzarella sandwich was delicious!
 After dinner Stéphanie explained what we had to do.
She made a great fashion & beauty quiz, not so easy if you know that we had to take pictures of the answers. The winners of the challenge could win a great goodiebag, so we all were very eager to win :)
 Our team in action, too bad we didn't win.
Afterwards we went to do some shopping and we had something to drink so we had some more time to talk.

I had a wonderful day and want to thank Stéphanie for organizing this great event. And of course everybody who was there and made this day so much fun.
Love,
Imelda

Dr. Organic

"Dr. Organic is committed to creating unique, natural products which are functional by design and formulated to capture the key active properties within each of the ingredients used."
Dr. Organic is an English brand specialised in natural beauty products. They only use the finest natural and organic raw materials to create products that are truly functional (due to the retaining of active compounds).
* Dr. Organic strives to only use organically grown ingredients. When that's not possible, they use sustainable natural alternatives.
* Only certified bioactive extracts are used to ensure that each product is truly functional by nature.
* All formulations contain natural ingredients.
* No harsh chemicals are used. Dr. Organic never uses parabens, SLS, ...
* All products are suitable for vegetarians and many of the products are also suitable for vegans.
* The products are tested on human volunteers and not on animals.
* None of the products contain mineral oils.
* All genetically modified organisms are avoided to make sure everything is as natural as possible.
* Preservatives are only used where they're absolutely necessary.
Those of you who read my blog regularly already know that this brand is really something for me. You can believe how happy I was when I received a whole bunch of products to test and review for this blog.
Dr. Organic has 9 different product lines, with different organic key ingredients. I picked out the Organic Rose Otto line, simply because I really like the smell of roses. Here you can find out more about the characteristics of each line.
"Organic Rose Otto is a rich, moisturising essential oil renowned for its skin toning and anti-aging properties. Heralded as the most exclusive and expensive of essential oils. Best for rejuvenating the skin, anti-aging and toning."
On the back of each product you can find the key ingredients and a complete list of the ingredients. You get some information about what the product actually does, personally written by Dr. O himself ;) Everything you need to know can be found on the product itself, which is a plus.

I'm ending this post with a review, but you can expect more Dr. Organic reviews on this blog in the next couple of weeks/months.
I couldn't wait trying out the Rose Otto Hand & Nail Cream when I opened my delivery. I have really dry hands, so I'm always on a search to find creams that make my hands soft and hydrated.
The cream itself is a rather thick white substance. You only need a little drop because you easily have too much of the product. While applying it on my hands I feel like I'm standing in the middle of a rose garden, smells good!
I hate the feeling of dry hands and this cream does what is promised, my hands are hydrated and don't feel dry anymore. The only downside is that this hand cream is a little bit greasy and it takes a while before it's totally absorbed. I only use it in the evening, so I can get full benefit of the intensive 12 hour rescue this hand cream promises.
So if you're looking for good moisturising hand cream for in the evening (or if you don't mind that greasy feeling) I would really recommend this one by Dr. Organic.
All Dr. Organic products are available in the Holland&Barret webshop and at De Tuinen(online and in shops).
Did you guys already know this brand? Are you curious to read the rest of my reviews and find out more about Dr. Organic?
Love,
Imelda

Steve Madden Store Opening - Antwerp

Yesterday I attended the opening of the first Steve Madden store in Europe, located at Meir 17 in Antwerp. I was so looking forward to this event and it was even better than I thought it would be.
The shop is beautifully decorated with natural materials and of course filled with the most gorgeous shoes, I didn't know where to look first.
We got spoiled with delicious cocktails and snacks and we spotted a lot of celebrities (always fun to do). It was fun to meet up with other bloggers and finally meet some people I hadn't met before.
I saved the best for last. Because we all received a bright pink envelope with a coupon for a free pair of Steve Madden shoes. I really couldn't believe it at first! To be continued ;)

The Steve Madden shop is offially open since today and it's a must on every shoppingtrip in Antwerp. There will also be a webshop opening very soon.

Here you can see us in 7th heaven with our envelopes :)

I want to thank everyone at Pravda and Steve Madden for inviting me. I really had a great time!

Earth Lovers

Today I have some great news for you guys. Do notice that this news is only valid for today, so you have to be quick :)
If you bring an empty showergel bottle to your nearest The Body Shop you get an Earth Lovers showergel for free in return.
The Earth Lovers collection holds 7 silkysoft showergels that are 100% biodegradable. They are sulphate, paraben and colourant-free, contain no soap and the bottles are made of 100% recycled plastic. Just my cup of tea!
There are 7 different perfumes to choose from:
* Apricot & Basil
* Cucumber & Mint
* Fig & Rosemary
* Lemon & Thyme
* Pear & Lemongrass
* Watermelon & Eucalyptus
* Unfragranced

I honestly wouldn't know which one to pick. Luckily these showergels only cost 6 euros per bottle, so I think I'll buy them all.
Are you guys going to trade your empty bottle for one of these great and green shower gels?
Love,
Imelda
