Let's Go Etnic

Etnic clothing and accessories will be one of the trends for this summer. I don't know how you guys feel about that, but I'm very happy with this.
Today I made a little post to show you guys in what way I would wear this trend. Like I said I'm very happy with this trend, but I would create an Etnic look with accessories and keep the rest of the outfit simple. Hope you like it.
I would wear this beautiful, yet casual jumpsuit from Mango and add some Etnic accessories from Uterque to be in line with the trend.
I'm so in love with this clutch!
One bracelet for every arm
How do you feel about the Etnic trend? Are you going for the complete look or would you do it the same way as I?

Imelda

Lush: Japanese Aid Soap

Today I want to talk about a great initiative that Lush created to help Japan.
Lush created the limited edition Japanese Aid Soap, shaped like the Japanese flag and with the perfume of the popular soap I Should Coco. The soap is available for only 5 euros and the proceeds will be donated to Fairtrade Tohoku.
Fairtrade Tohoku is a charity that will make a difference in the affected area. Not only will they provide food for those who need it, but in the future they'll try to help people with finding jobs, create environmental projects, animals shelters, etc.
Everybody has been touched by the terrible things that happened, so I can only applaud initiatives like these. Every purchase will make a difference!

I'm already sure that I'll buy this soap. How about you guys?
Love,
Imelda

Label. #2/11

My dear readers, I'm writing this post to let you guys know that the new Label. is available in stores right now.
This year's second edition of one of my favorite magazines is a can't miss. I read it entirely yesterday while I was enjoying the sun and an ice-tea on a sunny terrace.
New brands, fashion for kids, a very interesting file about denim (a must-read is the interview with Filip  De Brabander, Belgium's deniminsider), more information about 2nd Day (the new and edgier line by Day Birger et Mikkelsen, I really want those black sequined pants) and much more is ready for you to read. And like always the sneakerlover in me get's the upperhand when I see all the great shoes in Label., those white Supra sneakers are on the wishlist from now on.
I would like to end this article with a shoutout to (blogging)friend Kim, who wrote a fantastic article about blogging for this Label. edition. Keep up the good work girl!

Did you already read the new Label.?

Imelda's Inspiration Pt.5

oday's inspiration article is all about sequins! There's nothing I love more than sequins. If there's something shiny in the shops, I immediately get drawn to those pieces (I really can't help myself).
So prepare yourself for some bright and shiny pictures in this post! I really want to go shopping for some more sequined things when I see all these beauties.

And what about you guys, do you love sequins or not?
Love,
Imelda

Feeling Comfy

Last saturday I had a day off from work and I enjoyed the good weather to the fullest.
I went into town with my boyfriend. We did a little shopping, had a coffee and we ended the evening with a great dinner to celebrate our 6 years together.
I thought it was time for another outfitshot. Nothing special actually, but I still liked this outfit a lot (it's so comfy).
 Blouse: Zara
Pants: H&M
Purse: Vintage
Shoes: New Look

I'm curious to find out what you think about this outfit, so let me know :)

Review: Lush Easter Bath Ballistics

I already gave you guys some information about the great goodies Lush had in store for us to celebrate Easter. I didn't mention 2 products, because I had them myself and wanted to test and try them before I wrote something about these 2.
I'm talking about the Fluffy Egg Bath Ballistic and the Hippy Chick Bath Ballistic. Both very cute (almost too cute to use), like we're used from Lush products.
Fluffy Egg Bath Ballistic: A bright pink Easter egg decorated with some little flowers, suitable for all candy lovers. The smell is very sweet and I like it, just like the Snow Fairy Shower Gel (Christmas product). The waters turns out bright pink, can my water have this color all the time?
Hippy Chick Bath Ballistic: This sweet little chicken stole my heart the first time I saw him, just too cute.  The frangrance is very refreshing, I smell lemons (not surprising if you know that Lush discribes the scent of this cutie as grapefruit). In the end my skin feels soft and gently perfumed, although I'm a little bit sad that this fella is gone.

All these products are limited edition, but if you're lucky you can still find them in your Lush shop.

Did you try out some of the Lush Easter goodies or are you going to?

Imelda's Inspiration Pt.4

Finally I've found the time to write another article, it was such a busy week for me.
Wednesday I went to the Joyce Jonathan concert in Brussels and it was amazing! I got the tickets as a birthday gift from my boyfriend and I couldn't be happier with this gift. She's such a good singer, I had a wonderful time.
Yesterday I went to Antwerp (right after work) to visit a few pr agencies. I couldn't make it to all of them, too bad. I'll be posting my favorites in a while.
This is a great 'how to wear a scarf' picture. Must try this soon.
Beautiful drawing that hangs in my livingroom. I forgot the artist, my apologies!
That electric blue pants is awesome. That's one to go on my wishlist (I'm pretty sure these inspiration posts aren't so good for my wishlist).
Just a beautiful picture that I wanted to share with you guys.
Animal print shoes and cute socks, a killer combination!

I hope you guys liked this post and I wish you all a great weekend!
Love,
Imelda

I threw on this shirtdress and my leggings, but I'm not quite sure if I like this length of leggings. I'm still debating on it, but I decided to share this outfit with you guys anyway. Hope you like it!

Have An Eggsellent Easter With Lush!

When there is a holiday on the calender you can be sure Lush will spoil us with another limited edition holiday collection. That's no different for Easter this year, so today I'll be sharing some of the new goodies Lush has designed to Easter up your bathroom.
.
Donkey Oaty Bath Ballistic: A cute and sunny ballistic with the fragrance of Lush's Charity Pot. A bright coloured donkey filled with rice paper ribbons, that looks like a pinata. While he's bubbling up you can dream away and enjoy the colorsensation in the water.

Happy Easter Gift: This gift contains a hollow bath ballistic egg- one side with the sweet Candy Fluff perfume and the other side with the refreshing Avobath mix. Inside the egg you'll find a small Hippy Chick Bath Ballistic, ready to be born. All of this is wrapped in a Knot-Wrap scarf.
Bunny Knot Wrap: specially designed for Easter, these Bunny scarves are perfect to wrap Lush goodies you want to give to anyone. A great ecological alternative to avoid paper (that gets thrown away).

In this collection you can also find the Hippy Chick (a cute ballistic in the shape of a chick) and the Candy Fluff Egg (a bright pink ballistic in the shape of an easter egg). I'll be reviewing these 2 products in another post, so stay tuned for more Lush news.

What do you guys think of this collection? Have you tried anything yourself?

Imelda

Essentiel Flash Collection Summer 2011

2 weeks ago I was invited at Essentiel in Brussels to check out the Flash Collection for summer 2011. A very colorful collection that you must see in real life. I'm talking fluo yellow and pink all over the place and I loved it. Nothing better to spice up your outfit than a splash of color.
We got spoiled with good music, cocktails and delicious macaroons (yummy!). The event was the last on the planning of that day (press days in Brussels) and although I was tired I did have a great time meeting a lot of interesting people.

Can I have the whole platter?

I really want these black shoes!!!
And I want this vase too!!!
The evening we got the opportunity to shop at a 20% discount, but I resisted the temptation (ain't I a good girl?). I got my fix that evening from the beautiful store itself, it's so nicely decorated. You should really go and have a look yourself.
I had a great time and want to thank Oona for inviting me.

What do you guys think of the Flash collection?

Imelda's Inspiration Pt.3

Ever since I started with these inspiration posts it seems that the weeks are going by so much faster. Luckily I get inspired by so many things, so I will always have lots of things to talk about in these posts. That's enough chit chat for today, let's got on with the pictures.
These golden sequined pants are the textbook definition of fabulous. God I wish I had these in my closet!
This beautiful house in La Rochelle has been on my mind since last summer. I love the romantic feeling, I really hope to own a house like this someday!
Food and the YSL ring, a perfect combination. This ring has been on my wishlist ever since I saw it the first time.
My very cute cat Louke. When I see him sleeping like that, I just want to lay next to him and cuddle. What can I say? I'm a cat lady and I'm proud of it!
The perfect blue blazer with fierce shoulderdetails. Unfortunately sold out way too fast!

Have a great weekend!
Love,
Imelda
