Holiday!

Well, my holiday has finally started. I made my last exam last thursday (I did good) and I'm so happy to be free right now :)

I have more time to blog, to do fun stuff, go shopping (sales are almost starting!), time to do whatever I want and you can't believe how happy I am with that!

This is just a quick post, to let you guys know I'm still here. Tomorrow I'll be posting a new outfitshot!

For today I have some great news, well at least for me! I went to a local supermarket yesterday and I found out that they sell macarons in my own town. The joy! Of course I took a box home and they're delicious (I didn't expect them to be so good). I took a picture of them, just to make you guys jalous ;)

The Big Change!

From now on I'll also be reviewing all kinds of beauty products on this blog, next to fashion, outfits, etc. I've already made several beauty related posts on my blog, but from now on things will be different.

I've always been very aware of the way that I live. I'm a very green person, even if I say so myself. I try to take the bike or public transport as much as possible, I'm a vegetarian, I buy bio vegetables, fruits, etc., I'm a hardcore recycler (it even drives some people crazy, because I take recycling very very far), I don't waste anything, ... Really, I can go on and on about a greener way of living.

Recently it dawned on me that when it comes to buying beauty products, I wasn't that green as I wanted to be. So I decided to make a radical change in everything that's beauty related.

I try to buy as much products with Ecocert, Cosmebio, ... labels or products that are as much natural as possible (without parabens,etc.) when it comes to my beauty-routine.

And I only buy products that aren't tested on animals (product and ingredients). I just can't handle the thought that animals are suffering for our mascara's (etc.), when there are lot's of other ways to test these products.

This isn't as easy as it sounds, because many products are tested on animals. It forced me to go on a search for new brands that make me happy and it also made me say goodbye to several brands that I was already using for years (and loved).

So from now on I'll only be posting about beauty products that fit perfectly with my new way of life!

My new favorites are: L'Occitane en Provence, Balm Balm, Lavera, Weleda, Kneipp, Nuxe Bio-Beauté, Nvey, Yes To Carrots, ...

Just for the record: I really don't want to criticize anyone, or anyone's way of living. I really respect everyone's choices, but I think it's worth to think about how we humans treath the world and other living beings!

Little Things

Sometimes the cheapest things just make your day. I went by the triftstore and casa last week and I bought some cute and very cheap things!

These cute seventies coffeecups were just 10 cents a piece. Really who can resist that? I picked different colors, so they give my kitchen interior a lot of color.

This plate was only 20 cents and they gave me a 50% discount, just too funny for words. I bought this to put some candles on and I love the print.

This water jug is from casa. I already have a few pieces like this, all with different prints and colors, because I love using them as vases.

I know this isn't much for a post, but please bear with me, my exams will be over soon!

Again, Again, Again!

Today, I wore pants again. I absolutely love these harem pants from H&M (FAA-collection), I could wear them every day. It turned out to be warm today and the loose fit of the pants is made for this weather.

We went to ikea (AGAIN), because I had my mind set on a little sofa for the apartment. When I want something, I just really want to have it as soon as possible. So instead of studying we spent a half day at ikea. We got this cute little fauteuil.

The First Time

Well, I think this is one of the first times that I show you guys an outfit with me wearing pants. I don't wear trousers that much, because I feel that my body isn't really made for pants. I mostly wear dresses, because they conceal my imperfections.

But when I tried on these trousers at H&M last week I just couldn't leave them behind, I had to have them. They're so comfortable and I don't look too bad when I'm wearing them.

What do you think? Should I wear pants more often or isn't this style right for me? Are there things that you guys really don't wear because you think it doens't look good on you? I have a whole list of items that really are a no-go for me!

Weekends!

Weekends are so much fun. Don't you guys agree with me?

Yesterday the boyfriend and I went for a drink with a friend of ours who just celebrated her birthday. Having drinks outside all evening in this fine weather is just so much fun! Too bad we both need to study for our exams and can't enjoy the warm/hot weather to the fullest.

Yesterday I wore this catdress from Zara. Many things have been said about this dress, because it's really obvious that it's a MiuMiu rip-off from Zara. But I just love it, since I'm a crazy cat lady (like my sister always says). This dress is made for hot weather, such a soft fabric and loose fit, perfect!

I still need to tell you guys about last weekend, it was great. I finally met up with my best friends again to go out in our town. They surprised me with my birthdaygift, which was absolutely great. They got me some cans of Dr. Pepper (my favorite drink of all times, but so hard to find in Belgium), a magazine subscription and...

this cute, adorable, delicious, ... birthday-cake! Isn't this the cutest cake you guys have ever seen??? It's made by my friend's sister who makes the most beautiful cakes in the world. It was so yummy, but it made me feel kinda sad to eat this masterpiece (crazy-cat-lady like I said before)!

You've Got Mail

A while ago I saw the movie "You've got mail" again and I just love this movie. I know it's a cheesy movie, but I can't help myself, I love it!

I'm not posting this to just share my love for this movie, but I wanted to show you guys some pictures of Meg Ryan's apartment in the movie. If I could move there right now, I wouldn't doubt for a single second. I love the messy and romantic feeling of this apartment, this discribes my home-style perfectly!

This simply is my dream apartment!

H&M Fall

Summer hasn't even started, but on several blogs you can already get a preview of the H&M Fall collection. I can't wait for this collection to be available in stores, the pieces look gorgeous!
