Vintage furniture hunt

As all of you know by now I love shopping! I love buying clothes, shoes, etc., but I also love to shop for my home!
Next week I have a date with one of my friends to go to a vintage furniture shop that I've never been to before. I'm really excited, because I hope to find lots of great stuff for my place.
I already have so many stuff in my apartment, but I just can't stop buying furniture, lamps, accessories, ...
This post reminded me of a little table I found a while ago in a thriftstore. It only costed 5 euros and I was so happy that I found it. I decided to paint it in this purple color, because the wood didn't look good anymore. I think it turned out really beautifull and I'm proud to have this in my living-room. So let's hope that I'll find lots of treasures next week.

Prada Fall 2008

I know I'm a bit late with this post, but I do want to show you guys my favourite pieces from the Prada fashion show in Milan.
The dresses are amazing! I love the lace, the colors and the vintage feeling these dresses have. There's nothing more to say, accept enjoy looking at these great pictures from style.com.

I don't really love the last dress, but those shoes are amazing!

Sonia Rykiel Shoes

If you looked at my wantlist you know by now that I want a pair or more Sonia Rykiel shoes.
The picture shows my absolute favourite pair! Those pink peep-toe shoes with the flower on top are just amazing!
I stumbled on them while reading a Belgian fashion-magazine. They're from a girl who works together with Sonia Rykiel herself.
There is only one problem, they're not from this season and I don't know from what season they are... So I think I will only dream about these shoes and never own them. Because I have now idea where I can find them now.

I also really like the spring/summer 2008 shoe collection, these shoes can be viewed online at the Sonia Rykiel site.
I really think I'm going to save for a pair of shoes by Sonia Rykiel. Since last week she's in my top 3 of designers!

My Urban Outfitters wannahaves!

I plan on going on a little shoppingtrip to Antwerp next week (again)! Since they have an Urban Outfitters there I did some research on the net to find stuff I really want from their shop. When I search for stuff online I only look at the accessories. I prefer searching the clothes in store, internet doesn't do it for me in cause of buying clothes.
I did find some great stuff I really want to have, lets hope I have enough money next week and that they have everything in store.

These shoes are just so beautiful! If I find them, now matter how much they cost, I'll buy them! The color is perfect and they're perfect for summer!
I love peep-toe shoes and well, I don't have a brown pair yet!
This clutch is amazing! I already saw it in stores in black, but I want the plum one. If I don't find it in stores, I guess I'll order it online. It's just too cute, I really need to have it.
Again a pair of sunglasses. I can't resist cute looking sunglasses, I already have so many, but this one has the perfect vintage feel!

- Platform heels
- Black high waisted skirt
- Leather skirt
- Bright colored skirts

- Pink clutch
- Fur stole (I've been searching one for some time now, but I still didn't find one)

Grades and buys

Today was a real stressfull day, because I got my grades today. Actually I was being stressed for nothing, my grades are really good. So that means I passed every course! Whiiii for me!

Last week I went shopping, but I didn't have any time to post the pictures yet.
I bought myself another pair of shoes, these cute purple ones from H&M. I was searching platform heels for some time now and I then I found these beautiful purple ones. They're great!

This skirt was a real bargain, only 7 euros at one of my favourite seconhand shops in Antwerp.
It's flashy, but with spring getting closer I just couldn't resist this one.

Question

As all of you can see in the title of this post I have a question for you guys. Well actually the people who live in or nearby Barcelona or the people that were on holiday there.
In march my boyfriend and I are going to Barcelona for a few days. I allready found lots of great stuff to do and I know that the 5 days I'll spend there are way too short.
A citytrip like that is filled with lots of cultural things to visit, but I also plan on doing a lot of shopping.
So my question is: Do any of you know great stores or places that we really need to visit? Maybe some nice eating places?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Rosebud Salve

I finally found the famous Rosebud Salve at Urban Outfitters in Antwerp.
I heard a lot about this product and so I was eager to try it out and see if it was as good as they say.
It costed 11 euros, not that cheap but it's really worth the price. The smell is great and the salve really helps. The can is very cute aswell.
I only us it as lipbalm, but it can be used on dry spots, wounds, ...
I would recommand this salve to everybody

I'm sorry for not posting a few days. School has started again yesterday so I was enjoying my last days of vacation to the fullest.
This outfit shot is already a few days old, but I didn't had any time to post it yet.
We took the picture on the train, something new, because I was bored of all my other outfit shots.

Mohop

I've seen these shoes already twice @ Style Bytes and I just can't keep them out of my mind.
They're called mohop and they're handmade by Annie Mohaupt in her studio in Chicago.
The soles are made from recycled tires, the core is Finnish birch plywood and the finnishing touch is veneer (different kinds).
These shoes can be worn in many different ways, because of the strapping system. You can use different colors and different sorts of straps.
The older version has heels in 3 different hights (low, medium and high). There's a new version out now: wedges, also low, medium or high.

I plan on buying the 'mid heeled walnut wedge sandal'. They cost $278. So it's not that cheap for my studentbudget, but if think of the endless possibilities, it's so worth the price.
These beauties can be ordered online @ mohop. The site shows lots of different ways how the shoes can be worn (I've also added 4 pictures) and holds lots of other information.

Ikea Shopping

As I said before I bought a few things at Ikea yesterday and I want to show them to you guys. I took the pictures from their site, because they look so much better than the ones I take.

I have this vase in the yellow color. I allready have so many vases, but I keep on buying them. The yellow color makes it look so good.

Some cards to decorate my bedroom wall at home. I love flowerpictures like this.

Again, I have lamps enough, but I couldn't resist this one. It seems that cherry blossom is really the trend of this year. This lamp has cherry blossoms all over and it's really cute.

This plaid is so warm and cozy, I bought the white one because the pink and green are just too flashy for me.

This table is just too beautiful. I didn't bought this yet, because I don't have the place for it now. When we move next year I plan on buying it and I'll use it as my toilet-table for in our bedroom.

On the way home we stopped at a thriftstore in our town. There wasn't much in store, but I bought this cute plate to place candles on.

Outfit

Today I didn't have anything to do, but I did put something else on than my pyjamas.
Beret: H&M
Sweater: Zara
Skirt: My grandmothers (selfmade)
Purse: H&M
Tights: H&M
Shoes: Secondhand

Yesterdays outfit

Yesterday my sister, a friend and me had a fun day at Ikea and we bought lots of stuff (of course). Walking around all day asks for a comfortable outfit.

Sweater: Zara
Purse: Secondhand
Skirt: My Grandmothers (selfmade)
Tights: H&M
Shoes: Invito

When visiting my grandmother and grandfather this weekend we were searching something in their closet and I found 4 beautiful skirts. My grandmother made them herself, but she doesn't wear them anymore. She gave them to me, it's so much fun to get beautiful clothes for free.
They're all made by the same pattern, I got it in red, blue, green and brown.

My favourite city ever!

For as long as I can remember I love the city of Paris. When I'm there I feel great, I love everything about Paris.
When I graduate from university and when I have the money I move there. I love speaking French, I love the people there, the architecture and the cultural aspect, actually I love everything about the city and of course the shops aswell.
Last September my boyfriend and me went there for 4 days and it was amazing. We stayed in a nice hotel near the 'Sacre-Coeur'. We enjoyed all the great things Paris has to offer and of course we did a little shopping.
The reason I post this is to tell you guys about all the great secondhand shops and flea markets that you can find in Paris.

Come On Eileen, Rue des Taillandiers 16-18, 11th
Eveything you find here is designer stuff: Hermes, Dior, YSL, ... So it's not that cheap like other shops, but it's really affordable for the great designer clothes, shoes and accessories you can find there.

Wochdom, Rue Condorcet 72, 9th
This was one of my favourite shops. You can find clothes, accessories, lots of shoes and even old magazines and vinyl. Absolutely great shop and you can find lots of designer clothes there aswell.

Free P-star, Rue St. Croix de Bretonerie 8, 4th
This shop holds lots of great 80's prom dresses, shoes and accessories.

Rag, Rue St. Martin 83-85, 4th
This shop has 2 buildings next to each other with lots of great boots and pumps.

Le Belle Epoque, Rue de Poitou 10, 3th
A shop for girls only, I didn't see any manswear there. Amazing store with a funny and really friendly shopowner, he made me feel right at home there.
You can find designer clothes and shoes there for great prices (Dior skirt for 100 euros).

Kiliwatch, Rue Tiquetonne 84, 2nd
A really big store where you can find vintage and new clothes. I found lots of great shoes there, great selection of vintage boots they have.

Le Vestibule, Place Ste Opportune 3, 1st
I wrote this shop down, but because we didn't have much time left we didn't visit this shop.

I only had the chance to visit one flea market (place d'aligre), because I was there from Tuesday till Friday. Lots of flea markets are only during the weekends, but I'll give the adresses I found on the internet.

Place d'Aligre, 12th
Tuesday-Saturday 8AM - 1PM
This flea market isn't that big, but I found lots of great shoes there. The shoes were the only good things I found there, but maybe when you're lucky you can find great stuff there. The shoes I found were 8 euros a pair and you can choose out of all the colors of the rainbow.

These flea markets are the ones I didn't visit.
Porte de Montreuil, 20th
Sa-Mon 7.30AM-6PM
Les puces de Saint-Ouen (Les Puces), 18th
Sa 8.30AM-6.30PM
Sun 10AM-6.30PM
Mon 10.30AM-5.30PM
This is the most famous market in Paris.
Porte de Vanves, 14th
weekends untill 1PM

I'm sorry I can't write this much about the shops and markets, but it has already been a half year since I've been there and I really didn't plan on making this post.
I thought this post would be usefull when someone goes on holidays to Paris.
If someone knows any other great secondhandshops in Paris or if some of this information isn't correct, please tell me and I'll edit the post.
Well, I hope this information is usefull to someone and the only thing that's left for me to say is: Enjoy the shoppingtrip in Paris!

Thanks to Olimpia for nominating me for the 'You Make My Day Award', again really appreciated.

Balenciaga again

It seems that when I post something about designers it's almost every time about Balenciaga or Prada.
For years now I'm in love with floral prints and I'm really happy the designers picked up this trend. When looking trough the magazine that came with the weekend newspaper I immediately fell in love with this floral dress by Balenciaga. It's just perfection!
It looks retro inspired so I think that it's possible to find dresses similar to this one in secondhand shops. I sure hope so.

Thanks to Key and The Seeker for giving me the 'You Make my Day Award'. I really appreciate it!

shopping @ Antwerp

Last friday I went shopping with my sister and now I finally have time to post my buys. I bought lots of stuff, but it had already been a month since I went on a descent shoppingtrip.
Of course I bougth some shoes, 4 pairs to be correct. The first 2 pairs are secondhand, the pair on the left is 'casa dei'. It's the second time I bought shoes from this brand and their shoes are amazing.
The other 2 pairs are from new look, I really like the shoes they have. Their shoes are not too expensive and they're always right on trends. I was searching brown heeled oxfords for some time now, I knew I was going to find them there. The pink ones, are just too cute so I couldn't resist.
I also took some pictures so you can see the side of the shoes. It gives a good view on the heels and the details on the side and back. The pink ones have 'barbie-pink' toes and fade to dark pink heels. I was searching pink pumps for some time now, so I'm happy I finally found some cute looking ones.

I bought myself a new leather jacket at H&M. I really like the color. It's grey, but sometimes it looks purple. It only costed 50 euros, so it was a bargain.
Friday was the first day that the fashion against aids collection by H&M was in stores and I decided to buy a t-shirt. It's always nice when you can support a cool project like this. I choose the t-shirt designed by Chicks on Speed. It says: face it and I think that line says it all!

Never a shoppingtrip without buying a whole bunch of accessories. Purple kneesocks, blue leather gloves for only 6 euros (70% off), I only paid 1 euro for the sunglasses and 2 berets I found at H&M and veritas (it seems that I have a new addiction).
And I finally found a turban at H&M for only 1 euro, so I just couldn't resist buying it. Well it's actually really eye-catching with the electric blue color, but I tought it looked good when I tried it on. I could also use it to go swimming, it reminded me of a retro bathing cap.

This scarf I also found at H&M and it looks like it's Hermes inspired. I also bought these 2 rings at H&M.
