My Favorite Beauty Brands: Yes To Carrots

I say yes: Yes To Carrots, Yes To Cucumbers, Yes To Tomatos and Yes To Blueberries! Don't you just love the name of this brand?!
Wait untill you've read this post and you'll wonder why you didn't know about this brand sooner (or maybe you already love this brand, even better).
In the spirit of "it might just be crazy enough to work," our founders tried mixing the legendary minerals from the Dead Sea with (of all things) organic fruits and vegetables.
See, they knew that organic fruits and vegetables were a great source of skin-enriching vitamins. And they suspected that the special mineral elixir from the Dead Sea would help lock in the magic. And it did.
That's how Yes To was born. And the funny thing about positivity is, it's utterly contagious. And so, the little company with a big heart soon grew into a bigger company with an even bigger heart.

Click on the picture below for the brand's philosophy:
Yes To Carrots: Created to nourish your skin and hair. If you have normal-to-dry skin and hair, the carrots, the shea butter and sweet almond oil found in the products will add that right amount of moisture to leave you feeling radiant.
Yes To Cucumbers: Created to sooth your skin and hair. Sensitive skin and color-treated hair will find these products gently hydrating and soothing with their organic cucumbers, aloe vera and green tea.
Yes To Tomatos: Created to help you achieve clear skin. For combination-to-oily skin, these products treat and prevent breakouts with tomatoes, salicylic acid and witch hazel.
Yes To Blueberries: Created to help fight the first signs of aging. These age refresh products improves skin firmness and diminishes fine lines. It is formulated with blueberries, cotton thistle and paracress flower.

So products for everyone's skin type. They smell great and do their job (which of course is the most important!). And by buying these products you're supporting the Yes To Seed Fund: click!
So far I've use the Yes To Carrots day & night cream, body lotion, hair conditioner and the berry lip butter. And I'm content with all these products, so let's all say YES TO...

These Dresses, I Need

You guys might already know that I just love wearing dresses, lately I'm also very into animal prints. Not leopard prints etc., but the real deal: cats (Zara dress), horses (H&M cardigan), ...
Seems like Zara has a thing for these prints aswell. I found these absolutely cute dresses on the Zara website and I really want to have these in my closet. This calls for another shoppingtrip!

Flair

Today is the day that I got published in a magazine! What an honour!
A while ago I got contacted by Elise who works for Flair magazine in Belgium. She asked me if I was interested in being published in an article about Belgian bloggers. Of course I said yes.
The photoshoot was about 3 weeks ago and I was rather nervous (I've had never done anything like this before). But I had a great time. Everybody was so friendly, I got to wear beautiful clothes (I ♥ my shoes) and my hair and make-up looked perfect. The picture turned out so beautiful, I love it!
So a very very very big thank you to everyone at Flair for making this happen!
Joost Joossen for Flair

I'll upload the article as soon as possible. Have a great day!

Substitute

Since there is a lack of outfit pictures on my blog (due to my internship), I decided it was time for another Polyvore outfit.
How I wish that these pieces came from my closet! I really want every item in this picture!
Do you guys like this outfit? Would you wear it?

My Favorite Beauty Brands: Nuxe

The third brand that I really love is NUXE. Nuxe was founded in 1957 and the name is a combination of the words Nature and LuxeTheir charter is something you guys should really read if you want to know more about this brand's philosophy.
Other important things you need to know about this brand are:
Nature and Boldness
   - An average of 80% of the ingredients are from natural origin
   - Discoveries of rare and precious plant-based active ingredients
   - Innovating cosmetological concepts
Efficacy and Authenticity
   - Optimum concentrations of pure active ingredients
   - Extracts of patented active ingredients, confirmed through tests
   - Exclusive and patented active principles
Luxury and Sensuality
   - Incomparable textures
   - Exquisite fragrances
   - Divine application
And of course NUXE doesn't test on animals, something we should all care about!
The Huile Prodigieuse is one of their best selling products and if you ask me, eveybody should have this! It's a multi-purpose dry oil, you can use it for your hair, face and body. It's very nourishing because of the Vitamin E and 6 Plant Oils. The smell is very good and calming, I always put a little bit on my arms before I go to sleep (makes me sleep so much better and makes me arms so soft).
The Huile Prodigieuse is also available with golden shimmer. I haven't tried this before, so I'm very curious about this one.
Another product I can advise to you my readers is the Baume Prodigieux Lèvres. Definitely one of the best lipglosses I've used in my life. It nourishes (Vitamin E), protects (SPF 15) and gives a subtle color to your lips. This lipgloss has a fruity smell and isn't that sticky, I hate it when my lipglosses are very sticky. Mine is in the color Légendaire Pink, but it's also available in 3 other colors.
My other NUXE favorites are: Rêve de Miel Hand cream, Cleansing Care With 3 Roses and the Nirvanesque Eye Contour.
For more information you guys should really check out their site, you can view all the products there.
Pictures: Nuxe website and my own pictures

Oh and don't forget to check out Bio-Beauté by NUXE, Nuxe's "little" sister. Very great products made according to the NUXE philosophy, but than even more eco-friendly.
So far I've only used the deodorant and it's made me really curious about the other Bio-Beauté products. Can't wait to give you guys an update about these products, so keep on checking this blog!

M.A.C buys

A while ago my mom took me to the Estée Lauder fabric shop. It's such a lovely place :)
You can buy make up, facial care, perfumes, etc. from Estée Lauder brands at a great discount price. If I had no self control I would have bought almost everything, but I only picked these 4 make up products by M.A.C Cosmetics.
Two Eye Pencils (Foxy Lady & Powersurge), eyeshadow in the color Woodwinked and Blot Powder in medium color.
The Foxy Lady eye pencil is a deep red, bordeaux color. Powersurge is a copper color. Both colors are beautiful and the eye pencils are of very good quality. They're not too soft, which makes them easier to use, and they're long-lasting (something we all like).
The Wookwinked (Veluxe Pearl) eyeshadow stole my heart because of the beautiful copper shimmer it has. I'm a sucker for eyeshadows in this shade and I just couldn't resist this one (especially at the discount price).
The swatches: Woodwinked (Veluxe Pearl) Eyeshadow, Powersurge Eye Pencil and Foxy Lady Eye Pencil.
My blot powder, we have a love-hate situation going on. I always use a powder after my foundation, because I love a matte finish. To only problem with the blot powder is that when you use a little bit to much, you really see the powder on your face. That's a big No No for everyone! So I use it with caution, because I love a natural look.

Oh, and of course a big thank you to my sweet mom for buying these products for me!

Stranded

I'm so sorry for the lack of new posts on this blog. It's just that since my internship has started I hardly have time to blog and I really don't have time to take pictures.
My internship is great, I love doing the job and the girl I work with is so much fun. But it's exhausting, because I have to go to Antwerp by train. I leave at 8 AM and I'm back home at 7.45 PM, so when I get home I just want to go to sleep.
Right now I'm at home, that would be fun if it wasn't for the fact that I'm sick. I have a sore throat and I'm not feeling so great at the moment. I blame the very cold weather that we're having since this monday.
I hate this weather, since I'm always cold. That's why I'm in love with my latest buy: these very warm en pretty fake fur boots from New Look. Perfect for those cold days to come! Aren't they pretty???
I also have some very exciting news to share with you guys. Last friday I had a photoshoot for a Belgian magazine: Flair! They'll publish an article about bloggers and they chose me as one of the bloggers. What an honour! So keep checking this blog for more info about the article!

Ecotools

I want to tell you guys a little bit more about my new blush brush and the company behind it: Ecotools.
It turns out to be very hard to find some information about the brand. I'll tell you guys what I know and if you can add some more information, that would be really great.
Ecotools is an American brand that sells beauty & bath tools, bath & body products and cosmetic bags. Not something special if it weren't for the fact that it's a very eco-friendly company.
Their products were never tested on animals, the bath & body products are paraben and phthalate free and everything is 98% natural. Ecotools has also won several awards (PETA Proggy Awards, Australian Beauty Awards, ...) and is 1% for the planet member, which means that they donate 1% of their sales to a network of environmental organizations.

"This earth-friendly brush shows respect for the planet:
* Bamboo handle has a low impact on the earth's resources
as it is a highly sustainable plant
* Synthetic Taklon bristles are 100% cruelty-free
* Sleek ferrule is made from recycled aluminum
* Reusable storage pouch"
I think this is the best blush brush I ever owned. It's so extremely soft and keeps it's shape and softness (even after several times of washing it). But knowing that this brush is so eco-friendly, that's the most important to me. I really want to replace all my other brushes with Ecotools brushes, because they're the best!
Here's the link to the selling points: Ecotools selling points. I can't really help with selling points outside the US (exept for the online shops), because the list only shows the countries and no stores. I can only tell you guys that I bought my blush brush at Galeries Lafayette, when we made a trip to La Rochelle in July. I've really got to make another trip to France.

My Favorite Beauty Brands: Balm Balm

"Balm Balm is the UK's leading 100% Organic Skincare Company. Everybody will love the gentle formulations of our products and we want to take advantage of the fact that apart from being 100% organic, all Balm Balm products are free of Parabens, SLS's and preservatives. You will love Balm Balm for it's wonderful simplicity and feel secure in the knowledge that all Balm Balm ingredients are certified organic by 'The Soil Association' and that we only use responsible ecopackaging."

I already know Balm Balm for some time now and I must say: I can't live without their products anymore.
The products are great, they do exactly what's promised on the website and they smell natural (no fake perfumes). Balm Balm doesn't test on animals and is BUAV approved, which is very important to me.
Their Facial Range is my absolute favorite, I promise to review all my products in another post.
A company with these standards (100% organic, BUAV approved, ...) deserves a place in everyone's bathroom.

Where to buy: Balm Balm Website & Be So Pure (Belgium & The Netherlands only)

Shirts & Horses

I recently bought some very cute pieces for myself, 5 t-shirts and a cardigan. I wanted to show them to you guys, because I like them so much.
This very bright pink shirt is from H&M. It's a little bit longer than normal, so it's perfect to wear with a pair of leggings.
These 2 t-shirts are from New Look. The bow makes them so cute!
They're available in many colors. I wanted them all, but only bought this black and pink one.
These blouses are from New Look too. I love the sleeves and the loose fit.
The grey one is see through with panther print and the dark blue one has sleeves made from lace.
And this one I love the most!
I already posted about this cardigan a while ago and I was so happy that I finally found it at H&M. Who could resist this warm, long cardigan with the coolest print ever?
Have a great weekend!
