Facing The Cold Pt. 2

Yesterday the boyfriend and I thought it would be nice to go out for a walk. Well, I think this was the shortest walk ever :) It was just too damn cold, I was really frozen after 5 minutes.
It did gave me another chance to make some more pictures were I'm wearing my great new coat. It was the first time that I wore my fluffy boots from New Look and they're perfect for this weather. I usually have cold feet, but not when I'm wearing these babies! Love them!

Facing The Cold

I'm so hating this cold weather! I'm always cold, even when the weather isn't that bad. So these temperatures around 0 degrees are NO good for me.
Luckily I have this great wool coat from Zara to keep me warm. I'm so in love with the big collar that I can use to keep my head warm (what a funny sentence).

Here's a picture from yesterday evening when the boyfriend and I were on our way to a restaurant for dinner.
Do you guys like my new coat? What do you think about this cold weather?

My Make-up Story

It's been a long time since I got tagged, so I was happy to find out that Eva from Eva's Beautyblog tagged me! So let's start reading and learn a little more about me.

1. How old were you when you started wearing make-up?
Goh, not an easy one to begin with.
I guess I was about 14 years old. I remember getting ready for a schoolparty with my 2 best friends and putting on eyeliner and mascara.

2. How did you get into wearing make-up?
It started with my mom her make-up products. When I got a little older I always bought the cheapest make-up I could find, again together with my best friends.
But it's only been for 4 years that I'm very much into make-up, before it was more an exception for me to wear make-up.

3. What are some of your favorite brands?
M.A.C, Rituals and Nvey Eco

4. What does make-up mean to you?
So many different things. You can use make-up to look natural (but with just that little thing extra) or when you really don't feel good about yourself a touch of make-up makes that feeling go away.
It's fun to experiment with, ...

5. If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be?
Foundation, mattifying powder, mascara and lipgloss

6. What is your favorite thing about make-up?
That it makes you look better, even a little touch of mascara makes a difference.

7. What do you think about drugstore make-up vs high end make-up?
Well, for me the price doesn't really matter (of course there are limits). If I see something I like and it's a brand that follows my philosophy (check here for info) I buy it, if I have the money.

8. What is one tip of advise you can give to a beginner?
Keep experimenting and trying different things, so you can find out what you like the most and what suits you best. And if you need a little help, well, the internet is a great place to find inspiration and tips.

9. What is one make-up trend you never understood?
I can only pick one?!
I never understood people who like walking around with an orange face. Do they really think the wrong foundation color makes them look natural and healty? And it's even worse when you see where they stopped using the product.

10. What do you think about the beauty community on Youtube?
It's so easy when you have a question or don't really know how to do something in a good way. It's been a great help for me in many situations.

I'm tagging everybody who reads this post and feels like answering these questions. Let me know if you place this on your blog, I'm really curious to read your answers.

Shopping @ Maastricht

Last saturday my boyfriend, my sister, her boyfriend and I went to Maastricht to do some shopping. I told you guys before that I really love shopping in the Netherlands. So I was excited to go there, even though I was low on cash (and I still have such a big wantlist)!
Of course we had a great time and I could not come home without buying something...

I found this beautful black/golden skirt at H&M! It's perfect for the holiday parties that are getting closer. Can't wait to try it on!
You have to forgive me for the crappy picture! The color is totally different in real life, I blame my camera and the bad weather!
What's a day of shopping without some beauty shopping?!
From left to right (clockwise): Facial cleaning tissues from Kruidvat for dry & sensitive skin (so easy when I'm too lazy to take of my make-up and it was buy 1 get 1 free), Magnolia scrub from HEMA (such a great scent), Hair mask for colored hair from HEMA (the best hair mask in my opinion) and the golddigger eyeshadow palette from H&M (I'm a sucker for colors in this shade).
What do you guys think of my new buys? Where do you love to shop?
Have a great evening!

Red Furniture

One of my favorite things to do is decorating! I love it when I have a clear and empty space that has to be decorated, maybe that's why I love moving so much!
My apartment is a mixture of different pieces of furniture. I'm not the kind of girl that wants everything in one style, I like a combination of styles and furniture. I even like mixing furniture in different colors! Right now you might be thinking that my apartment is looking really crazy, but that's not the case. I hope that we'll have some sunshine in the coming days so I can make some pictures of my interior to share with you guys.
As always I'm spending lots of time on the IKEA website and I've found some very pretty pieces of furniture that I would love to have! The funny thing is that all these pieces are red.
Maybe it's time for me to move to a bigger place, so I can buy these lovelies!

Now let's talk fashion! Did you guys stopped by H&M today and did you get something from the Lanvin for H&M collection? I'm really curious to know if you bought anything!
I stayed at home, because the collection wasn't really my cup of tea!

Select by Threadless

Threadless is a community-based company that prints awesome designs created and chosen by you!
I was so happy when I got contacted to review a t-shirt from the Select collection by Threadless. Select is their new premium line of clothing designed by the community, but curated by Threadless.

"It includes original Threadless designs blown up, scaled back, with the original concepts intact. The products are printed with water-based inks on finer cotton, to be softer and eco-friendlier.
The woman's collection includes racerback tanks, tunics and tees. Men get more t-shirts, but with slimmer cuts and different materials than original Threadless tees."

It was hard to choose one t-shirt from a whole bunch of t-shirts that I really liked, but I ended up choosing this Girly Eco Hooded V-neck t-shirt designed by Ross Zietz: Birds of a Feather. That name alone makes it pretty.
The shirt itself is a blend of organic cotton, recycled polyester and rayon and with low impact dye. Perfect for a Green girl like myself!

When the package got delivered at my house I couldn't wait to open it. Everything was wrapped in  silver paper and it got a really lovely note attached to it. It's the small things like these that make a company loved by lots of people!

Here's a closer look of the design. Such a great idea to make the birds fly out of the feather, I love it! Do you guys like the design?
This design is also available in black and white, which are actually more my colors. But I just loved this one more because it's a hooded t-shirt.

Here's me wearing my beloved shirt in combination with some loose black pants from Zara. Trust me, you'll love it too once you've tried it. The fabric is so soft and I like the sleeves that are a bit longer than on a normal t-shirt.

I took 2 other pictures from the Threadless website which I really love.
The first one is also from the Select collection, from the new Autumn designs added to the webshop. The second t-shirt is from the normal Threadless collection and has the cutest design ever! Don't you just love it?

Threadless has some really cool t-shirts (for woman and men) with great designs. If you want to surprise someone with a very cool gift (Christmas is getting closer), don't hesitate to check out the Threadless webshop.

Dear Santa

I would really love to find this dress under our Christmas tree this year. Thank you very much good man!
How beautiful is this dress? I just can't get over it.
Unfortunately it's almost sold out online (only available in size S), but I'm hoping to find it in a Mango store soon.

Birdies!

Over the past 2 weeks I added some new pieces to my closet and I really want to share some pictures with you.
First this beautiful blouse from WE. This shop isn't a shop I visit regurarly. I enter it from time to time and mostly I get lucky. Maybe I should visit WE on every shopping trip I make. I mean, what's not to love about this beautiful piece of clothing? Those birds are too cute and the fabric is so soft. Can't wait for the weather to get better (well, let's wait another half year) so I can wear it without a cardigan.
This soft pink blazer is great. I love the black details and the shoulders. Gotta love H&M! I have to admit that my picture is really bad, because it's so much prettier in real life.
I bought this blazer with the H&M gift card I got from my boyfriend, so thanks my love!
That's all for now, I'm going to enjoy the last evening of my weekend! Have a great evening!

The Best Picture

No words needed, this picture is just pure perfection!

I saw this picture on the Aux Payx Des Merveilles blog and I just had to post it on my blog too.

A Walk Into Town

The boyfriend and I decided to go for a walk in our town. The perfect occasion to take a new outfit shot. It's been a while since I posted an outfit, but I just don't like taking my pictures inside (my camera isn't so professional).
It's already pretty cold here in Belgium, so I think this was one of the last times that I could wear my trench without freezing (ok, I was already feeling really cold today). Luckily I found the most beautiful wintercoat at Zara a while ago, I'll show him in another post.
Snood: H&M (new)
Trench: Zara
Purse: Mango
Shoes: New Look

A closer look of my boots and my purse. These booties are the best, I think they're really pretty and they're so comfortable.

Confessions

I have to admit that I'm not blogging as much as I would like. I guess we all have that problem, work/school are just things you can't ignore.
Well, today I did ignore my schoolwork and only did what I really wanted to do. I got into something comfy (really not worth an outfitshot) and catched up on some necessary picture taking for my blog. I was busy with that all afternoon.
The kitten kept me company and the radio made my afternoon complete. I chose 3 cd's that I'm loving at the moment and they played all afternoon. I linked the titles of the cd's with a song from the album on youtube. Click click and enjoy!

I promise that I'll be back posting something fashion related tomorrow! Have a lovely evening!

Famous Boots

I finally found a picture of the boots I wore during my photoshoot for Flair. Don't you just love them?
Simple, yet so pretty. And the best part is the price, only 29 euros at C&A. I'm so buying these!

Lanvin For H&M

Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I'm not such a big fan of this collection. The 3 dresses below are the only pieces that I like.
Beautiful dresses, but I'm not going to make an effort to get these in my closet. I'm happy just looking at the pictures!

Are you going to stand in line for a piece of the Lanvin for H&M collection? Which pieces do you really like? I'm really curious to know your opinion on this collection!
