Little Things

Sometimes the cheapest things just make your day. I went by the triftstore and casa last week and I bought some cute and very cheap things!
These cute seventies coffeecups were just 10 cents a piece. Really who can resist that? I picked different colors, so they give my kitchen interior a lot of color.
This plate was only 20 cents and they gave me a 50% discount, just too funny for words. I bought this to put some candles on and I love the print.
This water jug is from casa. I already have a few pieces like this, all with different prints and colors, because I love using them as vases.
I know this isn't much for a post, but please bear with me, my exams will be over soon!

Doortje Vintage

This post is about a lovely webshop that I discoverd yesterday, thanks to a girl in my boyfriend's class.
The shop is runned by 3 sisters, who named the shop Doortje Vintage (after their grandmother). They started the shop because they're all addicted to vintage. Not only do they sell beautiful clothes, shoes and purses, they also sell beautiful accesories, magazines and interior goodies!
I'm telling you guys, this is a great webshop that you should really visit. The site is available in Dutch and English (so everybody can shop there).
If the webshop isn't enough for you guys, you can still visit the real life shop in Eindhoven (Smalle Haven).
So enjoy the shopping on this wonderful vintage site and have a lovely weekend!

Thrifting Treasures!

During the christmas holiday I visited a lot of thriftstores and a fleamarket aswell. I was really happy to have some time for those treasure hunts again. Of course I found some great pieces, real treasures!
The first treasure is the most beautifull beautycase I've ever seen. I found it at a local fleamarket. It's in perfect condition and it was a real bargain. It's really big aswell, which is nice because I have lots of stuff I can use it for.
Mirror, mirror on the wall ... Don't you guys just love this mirror? I'm totally in love with it, as you guys know by now I'm a huge fan of anything baroque and frilly. This one was another bargain, only 6 euros at a thriftstore. I did had to walk around all day with this mirror in my hands while shopping, but I had done that before with a table.
Ok, this plate isn't a huge treasure, but I just love the flowers. It's big enough to get proper use out of it and it only costed 2 cents. I mean, why not give it away for free?!
Gosh, I can't wait untill exams are over and I can go on a hunt again. Today I had exam number 2 and it wasn't that good. I was still very tired from my last exam. The good news is that I have a chance at improving my grades next semester. I never was a big literature fan...
My next exam is friday, again so little time for so much things to learn...

Hasselt Part 2

The Celine scarf from my last post wasn't the only thing I bought in Hasselt, although there weren't that much great things in stores then.
I did find this lovely bolero at New Look. It's really warm and the texture is great. The color is a bit more pink than it shows in this photo. I was lucky with the price aswell, because they charged me the English pound price in euros, so it was 10 euros cheaper than normal.
Finally I found some nice teacups in the thriftshop, for 1 euro or something. I was searching cups like these for some time now, but I wasn't able to find some untill now.
I know this is a short post, but I'm trying to post more often from now on. I'm still drowning in all my schoolwork, so I'm really happy if I find the time to make a short post. Please bare with me!

Fake or Real?

Last monday the boyfriend and I had a nice shoppingday, because of the snow I wasn't able to go to school (not that I had any problem with that). We went to Hasselt and one of my favourite stops there is 'De Kringwinkel', it's a thriftstore where I always find great stuff.
As you guys might know by now I have a little scarf-addiction! So of course I was checking out the scarfs and this one caught my eye. The design is so pretty, even a bit kitsch. But than I realised it might be a real Celine scarf.
Now, I'm really terrible at spotting a fake designer scarf, so I'm calling to you guys for help. Online I found lists of how to spot fake Hermès scarfs, but no lists of spotting a fake Celine scarf.
Judging from the Hermès lists I read that the Hems should be hand-rolled and sewn in the exact same color as the hems and that's how it's done with my scarf. The detailed picture has a design that I found on the Celine website, but that's an easy one to copy.
So I would really appreciate your help!
If it turns out to be fake, I really wouldn't mind because I still love the design and I only paid 50 cents for it.

New Things

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to Antwerp. We wanted to do some shopping and visit the Margiela exhibition. We ran out of time to visit the exhibition, but I'm going back next week to visit the exhibition, because it's a can't miss!
I really didn't find that much (my boyfriend bought a lot of things), but we had a great day!

I bought these cute booties at Hema, they're so warm and cute! Perfect for those cold days comming up.
These nerd-glasses are from Urban Outfitters. I never thought I would be able to pull this look off, but I didn't look too bad. I promise there will be some pictures online soon.
I already have this belt in black, I really like it so much, that I bought it in brown aswell.
This cute scarf is from one of my favourite secondhand stores, it's so pretty.
This picture doesn't really look that good, because the colors are so much more bright in real life.
I know this post is really short, but I'm in a rush to get my schoolwork finished. I still wanted to make a post about my buys yesterday, because I really missed blogging the last days.
Today my boyfriend and I are together for 3 years and a half and we're having a nice dinner tonight and will probably watch Eastern Promises (I bought it yesterday).
I promise there will be more outfitshots comming up soon and I'll also add something new to this blog: I have such a big dvd-collection, so from time to time I'll post a review about the movies we saw.

Froufrou's part 2

Last week I placed anonther order at the Froufrou's webshop.
I just couldn't resist these beautifull shoes, each pair was 20 euros and they're in perfect condition!
This mint green pair is my favourite, I love colorfull shoes and the little bow in the back is just too cute!

These brown shoes are great aswell! I love the dark stripe, it gives the shoes a great look.

Froufrou's

Last week I recieved my beautifull clutch I orderd at Froufrou's.
Froufrou's is a great online shop managed by the lovely Léonie (Madame Mode) and her boyfriend. They sell lots of great pieces (vintage, secondhand and new) and the prices are low. I would say, just go check out the site and leave me some stuff to buy aswell.

I'm really in love with my new clutch. Too bad I'm stuck inside studying, because I can't wait to use this clutch. So I promise photos of me using this gorgeous piece will follow!

Shop till I drop!

Lately I have been shopping so much! I can't even keep up posting everything I've bought...
Today's post is about 2 shopping days  with my sister in Antwerp. I went the week before I went to Barcelona and I went last week.

These are my black platforms from H&M, the ones I have in purple aswell! I just love wearing them so much, I couldn't resist buying them in black aswell.
They are really comfy and I love wearing high shoes like that. They costed 30 euros, so I would be crazy not to buy them!

This grey t-shirt from Urban Outfitters is so lovely to wear. I love the loose collar and the color! It costed 36 euros, not so much, because I decided that from now on I'm going to spend more on beautifull t-shirts like this one. I'm sure the quality is better than H&M, so it's worth the money.

My sister has a lot of flowers to wear in her hair and so took me to Accessorize, where she gets all of her flowers. There were so many lovely flowers, I just couldn't contain myself and I just had to buy some. I went for the green, the white and the purple one. I think it was about 8 euros for one flower.

Afterwards we went to Akotee. It's such a nice shop with lots of cute stuff for your house etc.
I bought myself this box for 17 euros. The drawing is really nice and I thought the handle was just to cute. It's really big and I just haven't decided what I'm going to put in it.
I also bought a dark blue skirt at Urban Outfitters, you can see it here. Now on to the second part in this post: shopping in Antwerp last week.

I bought myself 2 dresses that remind me of the twenties-era.
The first dress is the pink fringes dress I saw already a few times on several blogs. I already wanted to buy it when I was in Barcelona, but they didn't have my size anymore. I was so happy when I saw it in Antwerp last week. It was the last one in stores and I didn't doubt for a second. It was 30 euros, but if I think about all the good times I'm going to have wearing dress, really not too much.
This is one of my absolute favourite dresses!
This is the second dress, it costed 20 euros. I just love the black in combination with the soft pink. The ruffles at the bottom are so cute and in fashion right now.
I normally never wear pink and I ended up buying 2 pink dresses. I guess it's because of the soft pink color. I'm still sure you would never see me wearing hot pink, etc.

Finally I found myself a big floral scarf with fringes. It was about 5 euros in my favourite secondhand shop. I love the bright colors!

This gorgeous necklace is from Urban Outfitters. My sister and I found it and both said at the same time, I don't even want to know how much it costs. It looked so expensive to us. When I turned the ticket around and saw that it only was 23 euros I bought it immediately.

I also bought 2 body's, a strapless one from Urban Outfitters and 1 with 3/4 sleeves at H&M.
I normally never wear body's, because it's just not so easy to wear in my opinion. I did buy them, because I hate it when my t-shirts go up and people can see my back and it's cold aswell:)

Shoppingtrip part 1 - Antwerp

I'm a bit behind with all my posts, but this week was really hectic with lots of school work.
Two weeks ago I went shopping with one of my best friends in Antwerp and of course I did some serious shopping! Lucky me I have a weekend job, so I bought whatever I liked.

I love wearing black clothes, but they do need to have a more special look for me to stand out. With special I just mean that they need to be a little bit more than just a simple black sweater with no details at all.
I found this beautifull piece at Urban Outfitters for 51 euros! We don't have an Urban Outfitters for that long in Belgium and it's not that cheap there, but it is turning into one of my favourite shops really fast.

This bolero is from the Penelope & Monica Cruz collection by Mango. This really is a lovely piece and the color is so bright, perfect for those warmer days comming up! It costed 45 euros, I plan on wearing this a lot so it was worth the price.

Finally I found the perfect high waisted skirt at Vero Moda for 40 euros. It was about time that I found one, because I've been looking for a skirt like this for over a year! I also tried one on in jeans, but the black one was the best.

Two other skirts, the one on the left from Urban Outfitters (44 euros) and the dark blue skirt on the right from Mango (23 euros). I already have lots of skirt, but most of them are floral printed or A-line skirt. It was about time I bought some basic and smaller skirts.

Some cute t-shirts to wear for sleeping or as underwear. The white one I got at Hunkemöller for 12 euros and it has some kind of vintage feeling. It looks more withe in the picture than it actually is. The brown top is from Hema and I got it from my boyfriend as a gift, he's a really good giftshopper and always knows what I really like.

I also bougth myself this really cute clutch at one of the best secondhand shops in Antwerp: Jutka and Riska. It costed 30 euros, but it is in perfect condition and it's rather big.

No shoppingtrip without buying shoes! I can't recall the last shoppingtrip I had without buying me some shoes...
The red slingbacks only costed 10 euros, so why would I leave them in the shop?
Okay, this is an awfull picture, in real life they look much better.

I found this blanket/scarf/... at H&M for 15 euros or so. The print and colors are really pretty and I can imagine us having a nice picknick in the parc with this blanket.

Vintage furniture hunt

As all of you know by now I love shopping! I love buying clothes, shoes, etc., but I also love to shop for my home!
Next week I have a date with one of my friends to go to a vintage furniture shop that I've never been to before. I'm really excited, because I hope to find lots of great stuff for my place.
I already have so many stuff in my apartment, but I just can't stop buying furniture, lamps, accessories, ...
This post reminded me of a little table I found a while ago in a thriftstore. It only costed 5 euros and I was so happy that I found it. I decided to paint it in this purple color, because the wood didn't look good anymore. I think it turned out really beautifull and I'm proud to have this in my living-room. So let's hope that I'll find lots of treasures next week.

Grades and buys

Today was a real stressfull day, because I got my grades today. Actually I was being stressed for nothing, my grades are really good. So that means I passed every course! Whiiii for me!

Last week I went shopping, but I didn't have any time to post the pictures yet.
I bought myself another pair of shoes, these cute purple ones from H&M. I was searching platform heels for some time now and I then I found these beautiful purple ones. They're great!

This skirt was a real bargain, only 7 euros at one of my favourite seconhand shops in Antwerp.
It's flashy, but with spring getting closer I just couldn't resist this one.

My favourite city ever!

For as long as I can remember I love the city of Paris. When I'm there I feel great, I love everything about Paris.
When I graduate from university and when I have the money I move there. I love speaking French, I love the people there, the architecture and the cultural aspect, actually I love everything about the city and of course the shops aswell.
Last September my boyfriend and me went there for 4 days and it was amazing. We stayed in a nice hotel near the 'Sacre-Coeur'. We enjoyed all the great things Paris has to offer and of course we did a little shopping.
The reason I post this is to tell you guys about all the great secondhand shops and flea markets that you can find in Paris.

Come On Eileen, Rue des Taillandiers 16-18, 11th
Eveything you find here is designer stuff: Hermes, Dior, YSL, ... So it's not that cheap like other shops, but it's really affordable for the great designer clothes, shoes and accessories you can find there.

Wochdom, Rue Condorcet 72, 9th
This was one of my favourite shops. You can find clothes, accessories, lots of shoes and even old magazines and vinyl. Absolutely great shop and you can find lots of designer clothes there aswell.

Free P-star, Rue St. Croix de Bretonerie 8, 4th
This shop holds lots of great 80's prom dresses, shoes and accessories.

Rag, Rue St. Martin 83-85, 4th
This shop has 2 buildings next to each other with lots of great boots and pumps.

Le Belle Epoque, Rue de Poitou 10, 3th
A shop for girls only, I didn't see any manswear there. Amazing store with a funny and really friendly shopowner, he made me feel right at home there.
You can find designer clothes and shoes there for great prices (Dior skirt for 100 euros).

Kiliwatch, Rue Tiquetonne 84, 2nd
A really big store where you can find vintage and new clothes. I found lots of great shoes there, great selection of vintage boots they have.

Le Vestibule, Place Ste Opportune 3, 1st
I wrote this shop down, but because we didn't have much time left we didn't visit this shop.

I only had the chance to visit one flea market (place d'aligre), because I was there from Tuesday till Friday. Lots of flea markets are only during the weekends, but I'll give the adresses I found on the internet.

Place d'Aligre, 12th
Tuesday-Saturday 8AM - 1PM
This flea market isn't that big, but I found lots of great shoes there. The shoes were the only good things I found there, but maybe when you're lucky you can find great stuff there. The shoes I found were 8 euros a pair and you can choose out of all the colors of the rainbow.

These flea markets are the ones I didn't visit.
Porte de Montreuil, 20th
Sa-Mon 7.30AM-6PM
Les puces de Saint-Ouen (Les Puces), 18th
Sa 8.30AM-6.30PM
Sun 10AM-6.30PM
Mon 10.30AM-5.30PM
This is the most famous market in Paris.
Porte de Vanves, 14th
weekends untill 1PM

I'm sorry I can't write this much about the shops and markets, but it has already been a half year since I've been there and I really didn't plan on making this post.
I thought this post would be usefull when someone goes on holidays to Paris.
If someone knows any other great secondhandshops in Paris or if some of this information isn't correct, please tell me and I'll edit the post.
Well, I hope this information is usefull to someone and the only thing that's left for me to say is: Enjoy the shoppingtrip in Paris!

Thanks to Olimpia for nominating me for the 'You Make My Day Award', again really appreciated.

shopping @ Antwerp

Last friday I went shopping with my sister and now I finally have time to post my buys. I bought lots of stuff, but it had already been a month since I went on a descent shoppingtrip.
Of course I bougth some shoes, 4 pairs to be correct. The first 2 pairs are secondhand, the pair on the left is 'casa dei'. It's the second time I bought shoes from this brand and their shoes are amazing.
The other 2 pairs are from new look, I really like the shoes they have. Their shoes are not too expensive and they're always right on trends. I was searching brown heeled oxfords for some time now, I knew I was going to find them there. The pink ones, are just too cute so I couldn't resist.
I also took some pictures so you can see the side of the shoes. It gives a good view on the heels and the details on the side and back. The pink ones have 'barbie-pink' toes and fade to dark pink heels. I was searching pink pumps for some time now, so I'm happy I finally found some cute looking ones.

I bought myself a new leather jacket at H&M. I really like the color. It's grey, but sometimes it looks purple. It only costed 50 euros, so it was a bargain.
Friday was the first day that the fashion against aids collection by H&M was in stores and I decided to buy a t-shirt. It's always nice when you can support a cool project like this. I choose the t-shirt designed by Chicks on Speed. It says: face it and I think that line says it all!

Never a shoppingtrip without buying a whole bunch of accessories. Purple kneesocks, blue leather gloves for only 6 euros (70% off), I only paid 1 euro for the sunglasses and 2 berets I found at H&M and veritas (it seems that I have a new addiction).
And I finally found a turban at H&M for only 1 euro, so I just couldn't resist buying it. Well it's actually really eye-catching with the electric blue color, but I tought it looked good when I tried it on. I could also use it to go swimming, it reminded me of a retro bathing cap.

This scarf I also found at H&M and it looks like it's Hermes inspired. I also bought these 2 rings at H&M.

Earrings

Well, I don't wear earrings, because I have 8mm strechings. But I do love earrings and I buy pretty ones from time to time!
Yesterday I helped my sister clean out her room and I found these gorgeous earrings. She's got them from our grandmother, but I liked them so much she gave them to me. Happy me!
I plan to sew them on a black sweater or so, I'm not sure. But I'll find something nice to do with them.
Sorry for the bad picture, but I tried it several times and this one was the best.

Inventory part 5

This is the last part of my inventory, but it is my favourite part. Today I'm telling you guys about my shoe-collection.
I own 35 pairs of shoes. But I'm not stopping at this amount, I just love buying shoes. The feeling when you come home with a new pair is super! Everytime I buy a new pair, I can't stop looking at them.
I think, no I know, that I'm an addict.

I tried to put the shoes together by color and sort (pumps, flats and boots). A few pairs aren't in the pictures.

A part of my pump-collection. The brown ones are all secondhand, the red ones are by New Look and by Zara. The silver ones are Zara aswell and the black ones are by Urban Outfitters.
The Burgundy coloured pumps are my favourite ones! I got them at a secondhand shop in Leuven, they costed 25 euros. When I got home I noticed that they are Casa Dei's and when I looked it up on the internet I found out that they are expensive. So well done!
3 pairs by New Look and the Turquoise slingbacks are secondhand for only 10 euros.
From left to right, top row: H&M, secondhand, secondhand.
From left to right: H&M, New Look, Sacha.
My flats. Really comfortable in summer and handy when I go shopping.
Left to right, top row: Zara, Sacha, Bershka.
Left to right: shop in Paris (only 2 euros), Zara, Shop in Paris.
My ankle boots. Weird, I really like ankle boots, but I only own 2 pair. The blue ones are H&M and the black ones are from a little shop in Leuven.
My boots. I just love wearing boots. I own 7 pairs of boots, but I need to buy more. I wear them so much that I need to go to the shoemaker once every 2 weeks.
Left to right: Secondhand (only 15 euros), secondhand, Zara.
Left to right: Invito, Invito and secondhand.

By posting this I really feel the need to go shopping again. But the sales are coming, so I think I might take 1 day of from studying to go shopping. I hope that I find lots of shoes.
