Imelda's Inspiration Pt.11

I think you've already guessed by looking at the amount of posts that have been posted on my blog the past week, but I've been very busy this week. I guess I'm still struggling with the combination of work and blogging, especially since the sales are right around the corner (we're busy with the preparations).
I'm sure I'll get things back on track after a good and long sleep ;) So please forgive my absence on this and on your blogs.

Today's post is filled with beautiful black and white pictures that I've collected over the years. I think that black and white photography has such great power and most of the time I like it more.
The funny thing is that I only picked pictures that are (in some way) related to Paris and I only realised it after I uploaded them. What can I say? I'm in love with this city.

I wish you all a very great weekend!
Love,
Imelda

Review: Dr. Organic Nightcare

For the past few weeks I've been using some new products in my evening ritual. These products are the Organic Rose Otto Facial Serum, Organic Rose Otto Eye Serum and the Organic Rose Otto Night Cream.
All products are by Dr. Organic. More information about the Organic Rose Otto line can be found here (my first Dr. Organic review).
After I wash my face and put on some toner I start with the Rose Otto Facial Serum. This actually is a restoring oil that renews the elasticity of the skin and leaves you with a hydrated and soft skin.
The bottle is made out of glass and has a very easy to use pump. It looks very fancy if you ask me.
I only use the serum on my cheeks, so I have enough product with one pump. During winter I always use my Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Oil, but it's a bit too rich during the other seasons. This serum is lighter and so it's perfect for the other seasons.
After the Facial Serum I'm applying a little bit of Rose Otto Eye Serum. It stimulates the regeneration of cells and makes your eyes look youthfull.
The tube makes it very easy to use and I only need a little drop of this serum. The serum is very light and gets absorb very quickly (the way I like it).
I've never had any problems with the skin around my eyes, so I'm not really the one to write huge review about this product. But in the end I'm very happy with the level of hydration by the Rose Otto Eye Serum.
It wouldn't be an evening ritual if I didn't end up applying some Rose Otto Night Cream. This hydrating and nourishing cream promisses to leave your skin bursting with cell regenerated health.
This whipped night cream smells deliciously of roses (one of my favorite fragrances). I have to be carefull not to use too much of the product, because than it can get messy ;)
After using this nightcream my skin feels incredibly soft, I'm talking baby skin soft. I'm a huge fan, if there is one product I would recommend to all of you it's this night cream.

What are your thoughts on these products? Have you tried anything from Dr. Organic yourself?
Love,
Imelda

Printed Pants

I really hope I don't bore you guys with all these articles about things that I want. Because today's article is (AGAIN) about some wishlist material.
Aren't these ACNE pants the prettiest you've ever seen? I'm actually really sad that I only found out about these pants this week, because they're from last summer. What can I say, I have a thing for pants with a fun print!
I'm really sorry for the easy article today, but I've been feeling very tired and a little bit sick. Hope you don't mind.

Do you love the pants?

Not Another Wishlist

Lists, lists, lists, ... Seems like the only thing I do these days is making lists. My grocery shopping list, articles that I still have to write, to do lists and of course the most important list of them all: my wishlist.
I can't open a magazine or website without adding at least one piece to that list. For instance, last night I felt like checking out ASOS again (always leaving me with huge cravings). I only checked out the accessories and jewelry sections and ended with these pieces on the wishlist. To be honest, I didn't even have the guts to check out the rest of the site. Maybe I'll feel braver tonight ;) I'll keep you updated.

Do you like my picks? And I really want to know, do you guys make lists?
Love,
Imelda

Jewelry Galore

We all know that accessories can play an important role to make an outfit just that little more special. I guess that was the only thing on my mind during my last shoppingtrip in Antwerp, since I bought quite a few pieces of jewelry that day.
I really wanted to show my new discoveries on the blog, simply because I find them all so beautiful. Hope you don't mind the picture overload.
These cuffs from H&M were on top of my wishlist. I already tried them on a month earlier in The Hague and regretted not buying them, so I rapidly placed these beauties in my shopping basket.
When this H&M necklace made an appearance on Sofie's blog I knew that I had to have it too. Such a beautiful piece and that color gives an instant boost to even the simplest outfit.
I bought this shell necklace from H&M because it made me feel totally nostalgic to my summers spent at Ile d'Oléron. My sister and I always bought necklaces and bracelets decorated with shells, so I just had to buy this one for old times' sake.
You can't do wrong with some neon colored bracelets, so I dropped these in the basket in a jiffy. I'm even sorry that I didn't buy these in other colors aswell, really have to stop by H&M again soon.
These hair combs are from H&M. I'm still in doubt if I'm ever going to use them (or how I'm going to use them), but I thought they were too beautiful to leave them behind.
Lately I'm totally into wearing earrings again (it really comes and goes). These babies are from New Look and match the ethnic trend that's so hot right now. They're a bit on the heavy side, but so worth it!
I was looking for a statement necklace with something white and I found the perfect one at New Look. Totally what I had in mind!
This zebra ring from H&M was just too cute to resist, so I just bought it. And as it turns out I'm actually wearing this one quite a lot. It's a little bit over the top, but that's what makes me like it even more.

Do you guys like wearing jewelry? What do you think of my buys?
Love,
Imelda

Honey Bronze By The Body Shop

I've always been a fan of limited edition collections that get launched by beautybrands, simply because they have such a huge WANT factor. That's no different for the newest summer collection by The Body Shop, Honey Bronze.
The Honey Bronze Make-Up collection consists of bronzing products for face and body. Enriched with community fair trade honey and bees-wax these moisturizing products give the skin a smooth, even, bronzed result.
With this collection The Body Shop also wants to focus on another environmental issue. The declining bee population is something we should all care about, because they're simply too important for us humans. At The Body Shop they totally understand that and they're doing whatever they can to help these animals. Hives at the international head quarters in the UK, donating money to the University of Sussex for further investigation about bee populations in the cities, these are just 2 great initiatives by The Body Shop that I can only applaud.

The Honey Bronze Lip Nectar is available in 2 colors, Honey Bunch and Honey Beige. I have the Honey Beige one and as you can see it's beautiful. This Lip Nectar gives your lips a sublte golden sheen because of the mini glitters in it. It is a little bit sticky, but I don't really mind that in a lipgloss.
I have to say that I'm a real fan of the packaging of this collection. Everything looks so chique and expensive because of the gold and brown.
I'm really happy this lipgloss comes in a tube, I prefer tubes over brushes because it's easier to use when you're on the road (simply my opinion).
This Lip Nectar fits the rest of the collection perfectly and is one of the best shades of lipgloss to have for the summer.

The other products that are available in this collection are Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil (On top of my wishlist!!!), Honey Bronze Brilliance Powder, Honey Bronze Bronzing Gel and Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder.

What do you think of this collection? Did you already buy something from the Honey Bronze collection?

Imelda

Imelda's Inspiration Pt.10

Well, it's friday again and I'm glad the weekend is finally starting tonight. It's always so much fun when I don't need to work on a saturday, so I plan to do some nice things and maybe some more shopping.
I decided that from now on these inspiration posts will only appear every 2 weeks. Don't get me wrong, I love searching for pictures that inspire me and I will keep on sharing them with you. But I have a feeling that one of these articles every week is simply too much. Hope you don't mind.
I love this bathroom. The combination of the industrial space and the beautiful green mosaic wall is perfect! Would love to have a bathroom like this one.
Underwather photography can be so beautiful, here's the perfect example.
You all know by now that France is my absolute favorite country in the world and there isn't a region there that I don't love. Here's a random picture from the Provence, it's so cosy. One day I'll hope to own a house with panels on the windows too.
I just love this picture, because lavender makes me think back to when I was little. My grandmother always hung some bags filled with dried lavender above our bed.
I'm ending this post with a song that I really loved when I was a teenager (and actually I still do like it very much), Rain by the Guano Apes. Do you like this song?

I wish you all a very great weekend!
Love,
Imelda

Details

The weather was so strange yesterday. Warm and sunny one minute and cold and rain pooring down the other minute. What to wear in a situation like that?
I decided to take my newest pair of boots out for a walk. I'm so happy with these! They're so comfortable and I love the design and color. I guess I'll be wearing these a lot, so they were really worth the trip to Eindhoven ;)
I also threw on my parka (I've been living in this for the past weeks) and pimped the outfit with a cute scarf and some big earrings.
 Earrings: H&M
Scarf: IKKS
Jacket: H&M (gift from the boyfriend)
Boots: Tango

Hope you guys like the outfit!

Imelda

Review: Dirty By Lush

Dirty by Lush is a complete new line of Gorilla Perfumes. These products are created for men who love to look good, but don't want to spend too much time in the bathroom in the morning. The idea behind the Dirty range is the concept of layers. Every product has a different frangrance and if you use all the products together you get the real Dirty fragrance.
I got the Dirty Springwash Shower Gel and Dirty Shaving Cream to test and try. I know it's a line for men, but according to Lush women will love it too (and they're right about that).
When I open the bottle of body and hair shower gel I definitely smell bubblegum. Not very surprising if you know that mint is the key ingredient. So in the shower you're all minty and fresh, but afterwards I do notice some sweetness in the perfume aswell. This shower gel is very refreshing and that's why I can imagine it being great to use on a hot summer day.
I did pass this bottle on to the boyfriend, because in the end the fragrance is a little bit too masculin for me (but that's only my personal taste).

The shaving cream is one of my new found favorite products, I love it! A very creamy and soft substance that smells deliciously of lavander. My legs feels soft and hydrated after I use the dirty shaving cream, which is a big plus because my legs are rather sensitive and dry.
Another positive fact that I really have to share is the packaging. This black jar is made out of 100% recycled materials and is much better for the environment than the usual shaving cream packagings. That's why I love this shaving cream even more!
The boyfriend likes this one too, so we made a compromise to share this pot.

Also available in this collection are the Toothy Tabs (can't wait to try these out!), Hair Styling Cream, Dirty Body Spray and the Dirty Perfume.
All the Dirty products are suited for vegans.

What do you guys think about this collection? Have you tried anything yourself?
Love,
Imelda

Imelda's Inspiration Pt.9

For today's inspiration post I want to do something different. I decided to let you guys take a little look at how my apartment is looking. I took some pictures of the things I like the most.
I already told you guys before that I'm not that matchy-matchy kind of person when it comes to the decoration of my place. If I like it, I buy it and I'll find a way to make it work. You might discribe my style as messy, but neat. It's a mix of Ikea, thriftstore, fleamarket, gifts and random shops.
Anyway, I really hope you like these shots!
Candles are a must! Simply because they make a house more cosy. I also love scented candles and incense sticks.
Some detailed shots from my bookcase, this one from Ikea. It's also rather messy, but I simply like the way that looks. As you can see it's not only books, but also my Hello Kitty collection, some cups and a Marrocan jar, ...
On top of the bookcase I have my favorite statue of all times. I bought it at Ikea more than 6 years ago and I still find it so beautiful. The vase is new, bought it last friday and I love the purple color!
This lamp is very special to me. It's a gift from my sweet grandmother and grandfather. The foot of the lamp is from a fleamarket (guess it runs in the family) and the shade comes from my grandmother's sister who sadly passed away a few years ago.
This still life is what you can find in my kitchen. These jars, tin cans and cups are just too beautiful to put away in a closet. So I decided to stall them out!
Another still life, this time in the bedroom. The flowers are little lamps and are so cute. This cabinet is the favorite sleeping spot of our cat for the moment :)
A part of the boyfriend's record collection in combination with some of my stuff. My other favorite lamp, the shade is from Ikea and the foot is another fleamarket find from my grandmother and grandfather.

I hope you guys liked the little peak into my life and apartment. I'm curious to know what you guys think, so please let me know in the comments.
Have a great weekend!
Love,
Imelda

Not Sure

This picture is already a few weeks old, we took it when we were in Eindhoven to do some shopping. It took me so long to post this one, because I really wasn't sure if I wanted it on the internet. The decisions a blogger has to make can be hard sometimes ;)
I decided to publish it anyway, because I really wanted to show my new and funny t-shirt. Isn't this one perfect for a day at the beach?
Headband: H&M
T-shirt: Promod

What do you guys think about my new t-shirt? Do you like it?
Love,
Imelda
